The system failed, two kids in jail And the rich get rich, and the rest get sunk Classist, sexist, racist, ableist, fascists, ageist, homophobic Country leaders ****** our futures And they think we haven’t noticed Best song on the ALBERM methinks it's such a bop... and exactly what marina would write and sing so 1000000 out of 10.
Polgg48 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 without a doubt i like environmental headache, amazing . finish the rest later

wraith Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Oscar Winning Tears what a way to start an album... then going into Hard Out Here. She said I will grab your attention!

I loved these pop demos she was making, but this album just feels above that I agree but at the same time I'm not ready for her to move on from amazing tracks like Born Again, Your Loss or C'est La Vie
goldstargay Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 The talent.. this is her moment and I am so happy for her. SHE DELIVERED.
zeta Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 I feel like the songs that are good are masterpieces and the songs that are bad are just bad. Like she just had to have a song for each topic instead of focusing on having all good songs. It's overall a great album tho.
Darkseid Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Dunno what everyone else is hearing in this but this is sounding like woke faux art pop to me. Don't like anything except Black Mascara Stick to the generic dj house collabs Rachel
JoeAg Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 can’t wait to do my first listen tonight! i’m gonna check out Ice Cream Man rn
NastyAF Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 There's like 4 good songs at most, so dissapointed.
tbhmatt Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Excited to listen later once it drops here. What are everyone’s highlights?
My20sBlues Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 the album is not perfect but to say that it only has 4 good tracks it's so tasteless
Eglė Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 The Crazy Frog sample on Environmental Headache I am OBSESSED
Bicassie Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 (edited) STELLAR: Escapism 10/10 (best song on the album easily) Black Mascara 10/10 (she does dance the best) GREAT: Flip A Switch 9.5/10 (smash, push it now) Hard Out Here 9/10 (still amazing whew) The Thrill Is Gone 8.5/10 (love the groove) Ice Cream Man 8/10 (very powerful song) GOOD: Worth It 8-/10 (it’s giving 2021 demo, love it) Five Stars Hotels 7.5/10 (loving the sexy vibe) Oscar Winning Tears 7/10 (cute opener) Body Dysmorphia 7/10 (wild side vibes ) OK: Buss It Down 5/10 (meh) BAD: Environmental Anxiety 4/10 (a total mess) Mary Jane 3/10 (boring) Edited February 2, 2023 by Bicassie
ryoncé Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 It’s a good album that’s undeniable but it does feel like just a meh overall experience with pretty good highs and major low points too but an album with locked down, born again, fantastic, mercy, etc would have been a serious contender for AOTY its crazy how she was unable to release that project bc of so many label hurdles and it was literally an album of 10/10s across the board …
mynameispain Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 its a very strong DEBUT album ! so proud of raye

Bicassie Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 This album would have been so much better cut down to 10 tracks mary jane, environmental anxiety and buss it down should have stayed in the vault
Better Mistakes Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Only got up to escapism atm. I'm liking how the album has built up in sound from each previous song
