Why is ATRL so out of touch with reality?

ATRL is stuck stanning mostly 2000s Pop girls all the time, so that's the main reason why they're out of touch with 20s culture

The internet may have been meant to broaden everyone's horizons, but nowadays most of us just use it to further insulate tbh

Everyone be out of touch on the internet. Even the straights and their countless conspiracy theories

Just look at some of the base threads. They live here. This is their ENTIRE world. Of course they're going to bash 99.999999% of the GP and their tastes.

ATRL hates everything even themselves

Huh? The general public is not a uniform, people like and dislike all sorts of bs, atrl isn't a radar for that.

Eurocentric white gays obsessed with pop music are a very small slice of pie in the demographics of this world. :rip: Streaming opened up (mostly) free or affordable access to entire catalogues of music for all the other demographics that make up the globe.

Here's the answer you're looking for.

I remember reading a thread where people were genuinely shocked at Drake being THE (if not one of the) biggest streaming artists in the world and it's like do you guys get out? step outside of your 2010 pop girl bubble and talk to straight guys, of any race... I do think some of the users here need to branch out more and come into 2023.

True tbh. Meanwhile, the world has moved on and I say this as someone who LOVES pop music but go on TikTok and you'll see Gen Z is more into rap culture than it is obsessively following pop girls. I think that era is gone and ATRL has to kind of move on at some point.

bc ATRL is too US centric :dancehall:

ATRL thinks AM is bigger than Spotify.
ATRL thinks that Youtube is not a thing in 2023.
ATRL thinks their local acts are bigger than other international acts just because "they are #1 on the global charts" when 80% of their sales/streams come from the US.
ATRL thinks their local singers are more famous than football legends

I guess there’s too much ghey americans thinking TS is just as famous as Messi:rip:

I noticed that. They don't understand how someone can stan a male underrated artist that doesn't chart on the worldwide charts.

Like sisters ita about the music, voice and person. Not just sales and everyday MPGs

Is not just atrl. Sites likes twitter and tik tok are plagued with delusional echo chambers from both extremes of the political spectrum

This forum is just delusional thinking that some pop stars are still the biggest thing in the world.

The reality is that these days the internet is completely tailored towards our interests to profit from users and people find these echo chambers and think that the rest of the world is like this but it’s a super small minority.

I’d rather be “out of touch with reality” than grasping the fact that the “reality” is a bunch of idiots with their heads glued to TikTok

The GP needs better taste.
