Lana Banana Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 (edited) Are we tired of this chipmunk trend ruining great songs like Bloody Mary, Back That Up To The Beat, Summetime Sadness etc? Seriously though, who, in their right state of mind, listens to this in their headphones??? Edited January 13, 2023 by Lana Banana
Europe Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Young people. Their brains just work differently from yours.
fauxtography Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Its so weird, I get it in a comedy "viral" sense but the fact that people prefer these sped up versions to original songs and call them "too slow" Idk, zoomers worry me with how ****** their attention span is. Maybe it'll mean they'll be future powerhouses in tech later or something - but like, during Christmas my niece was literally playing a game on her phone, while she was watching a tiktok on her ipad that was split screen of an episode of family guy, and a video about making slime on the other half. I asked her to explain the concept and she was like "if i get bored of one thing I can go to the other..." Maybe this is just a new level of efficiency...idk - freaked me out.
Into The Void Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 i honestly cant tell the difference lol
schnetzka Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 I haven't even bothered listening to the sped up version of "Bloody Mary" however it has made me re-obsessed with the original again.
popstar Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Nah, i've never heard Bloody Mary before TikTok and i kinda like it now, same with Black Out Days

Blue Monday Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Yes, the sped up versions are never even close to being as good as the og songs
Richmond Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 It’s sooo stupid. And the majority of these “sped up” versions are like 15-30 seconds shorter
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted January 13, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted January 13, 2023 The Say It Right and Cool For the Summer sped up versions were great
bad guy Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Nightcore isn't new and it can make songs sound more fun. It's harmless fun
Ger Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 In general, they're pretty much horrendous, I take them as a parody tbh.
dumbsparce Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I'm not cause I don't listen to them. It's quite sad how this generation feels the urge to rush even when listening to a song, sth that supposedly serves as entertainment and relaxation. What's next? sped up movies?
popmusicisdead Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 slowed down songs sometimes slap but i agree
Alldeezy Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 yes it's terrible, that should die with nightcore
Valentine Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 It’s trash. Ruining art. But it’s harmless and brings the gurls more streams. So whatevs
Badger Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Ironically Bloody Mary was already a TikTok trend where it was slowed down
