Thuggin Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Mohammad is only a prophet for Muslims. To the rest of us, he's just a historical figure. Therefore, Muslims can refrain from depicting Mohammad or from looking at images of him themselves, but it's unreasonable to prevent the rest of us from depicting him. It's an art history course; the image was relevant to the class. Sorry, we don't follow your religion. The teacher didn't blindside the students. She gave them multiple warnings.
Pacify Him Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 That religion has rotted their brains. Electric paintbrush for that student!
Aren Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Welcome to the ‘progressive’ left, trash Christianity all you want but bow down to Islamofascism.

Completely agree but practicing muslims are known for forcibly trying to push their views on everyone. I hope for the safety of that teacher now that she can become a target of radical islamists.

It’s baffling how some people DEMAND that no one can show depictions of what we merely consider a historical figure. He might be holy to you, and that’s your prerogative, but the rest of us are also free to objectively explore and discuss history as we see fit.

The professor didn't deserve to be fired
Margaux Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 the question is why are they taking history art class in US when they know full well what the syllabus would be. the university shouldn’t conform to their practices just like when people travel to muslim dominated countries, they don’t expect special treatments.
KingWitch Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Certain religions are clearly above others ,also i don't get why anyone would still be religious in 2023

Every religion is trash, we live in a secular world where we should be free to worship (and trash) any religion we like. Not for a second am I going to act nice to some cult that murders gay people.
RunUpDoneUp Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 I have to laugh at people acting like this isn't the fault of Harvard's board and not the student being an ass. They have the power and say here and they chose to fire someone who did nothing wrong rather than protect a member of staff. This was a non-issue that Harvard could've shown integrity behind but alas, the christian right gets another rallying cry to paint a false picture of Islamic terror. Embarrassing for the top school in america.
GraceRandolph Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 If a vegan student got a teacher fired for showing dead animals they’d be crucified and they’d never live it down, but when it’s a made up religion as opposed to a fact-based ethical stance society rewards it.
Harrier Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 she should sue for wrongful termination. TYT had the right take on this
