Ah, I see. That explains it

Congrats to SZA. She fought and won.

Not folks trying to downplay that stunt Taylor pulled and relinquishing all congrats to SZA. It's not hard to let another female artist have their moment. It was messy and there was no excuse for that last minute the second it was stated how close #1 and #2 were. SOS was already #1 for 3 weeks before today and it eventually falling to #2 wouldn't take anything away from SZA's success
ATRL Moderator Verge of Obscene Posted January 8, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted January 8, 2023 the better album won

Chika Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 All that clownery and fraudery from miss swift only to be massively outsold Better luck next time OT: Talent won

I was expecting like 20k at least seeing everyone laughing in this thread lol Because everyone was expecting Taylor to have a 30k gap over SZA And when HDD predicted 124k for both some Swifties were saying they were underestimating Taylor
Literature Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 It's a shame she had to resort to greed and desperate tactics

But it would block a black woman from a very important achievment that hasn't been seen in 30 years. Yall have to realize how marginilized black and female artists really are. Yall celebrate Tayor literally everyday for her massive success but fail to acknowldge her appeal as a white woman. Releasing those digital albums like that in the midst of a underrepresented miniority having so much success was nasty work. You have to know when to scale back. If we all know Taylor wil lnaturally go back to #1, why did she do that?
Lovett Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 That's a huge achievement for SZA! Congratulations to her, well deserved.

roso Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Congrats to both women it's so rare to have two female albums smash simultaneously, but of course people here wouldn't appreciate that
