I HATE y'all because the first couple times I listened to TOMO, I didn't really care for it. After the tracklist was revealed and everyone had a meltdown, I decided to play it a few more times and now I love it. And now I'm heartbroken it won't be included :gaycat6: it really seems like it would fit ESV's vibe so well.

I’m lowkey scared the album will flop she really deserves to smash with the album and not only flowers and I’m recently seeing no engagement about the album her tiktoks and twitts about the album barely cracked 70k likes

I’m on the fence with how the album will perform. The tracklist not getting a lot of attention is fine, that’s a stan thing. But the Disney+ announcement definitely should’ve been bigger given the context.

Morgan’s Spotify numbers are pretty average for 36 songs, so I do think she can pass him with a strong enough peak. But the hype around her is very Flowers focused, whereas her image with Bangerz was the heavy carry across singles, performances, interviews, etc.

Her success will always be GP reliant, so it all comes down to if the 2nd single or Disney+ special can get a notable moment. And I’m not sure if Flowers will allow that or if there’s a way to pull it off. We’ll see.

She’s still achieved more than we could ever imagine thus far and will be fine either way.

while the tracklist didn't garner as much traction (for whatever reason) with her past social media posts for Flowers, I think the key about the Disney+ special is that it's cross-posted on a bunch of accounts simultaneously + press articles so it's a world of difference in reach

Yeah honestly, I'm happy with whatever happens regarding success at this point. I don't think anyone predicted she'd break various streaming records, get a 6 week number 1, and have the biggest hit of her career at this point. She'll probably pull at least 100k in album sales first week - more than she's seen in a decade - and that should be enough.

That being said.... it would be nice to get two more hits this era. In the US at least (I know y'all say Prisoner was a "streaming hit" but I'm old school and if it's not charting high across all formats, it's not a hit to me), she hasn't had 3 hits from one album since Bangerz. Would be really cool if she can bag a couple more, even if they aren't huge.

My only concern is that the pre-release of Flowers felt like a bigger moment than the pre-release days of ESV. Physical promo media got people's attention, the teasers went viral and sparked an online conversation. There was this sense of anticipation on social media. I'm not so sure non-fans that are listening to Flowers are aware she has a new album coming out next week.

It sucks there's a big chance this amazing year won't be rewarded with a #1 BB200 debut, but Miley/Columbia should aim for longevity more than anything. I know asking Miley, out of all people, to release three full-fledged singles for an album cycle can be a lot, but as long as this era has legs, the peak/debut won't matter. People will eventually tune in and word of mouth will help.

Miley will be getting another decent smash single this era. Not as big as Flowers, obviously, but she’ll have a cute song of the summer moment and the album’s sales will remain consistent throughout the year. The album will be vying for number one with Morgan next week and it’ll be close, and she’ll likely lose. But that’s okay because she’s playing the long game. This came to me in a premonition so I know I’m right, I fear Oprah Winfrey Concert GIF by CBS

Does anyone have any tea on the overall sound of the album?

I can’t understand why every post lately barely gains 700k on her insta and on tiktok and Twitter it’s even worse I really hope she’ll do something that will draw the attention of the gp for this album cause i deal like nobody is talking about it

I'm here for her launching a 2nd single with the album but I kinda want snippets at this point :dancehall:

Sooo acording to predictions Morgan will debut arround 320-370k debut

Albums drop arround 70% during 2nd week so he could do arround 110-120k during week 2

Miley Can do above 120k me thinks!

@BlackoutZone any chance you could give us one of your iconic reviews/breakdowns of this album now that we are in release week?

Aren't these just streaming units? I think total sales will be higher.

Anyway, I'm excited to finally hear the album.

Nah, Morgan is easily hitting 500k, I wouldn't be surprised if he hits 600k first week.

I need Miley to drop 20+ tracks album because...

Now it's good time to drop those scrapped She Is Coming songs and add Slide Away on the album to boost SPS :fan:

Miley is totally the type of artist who would pull a rapper move and release a mixtape called "undisclosed" or "unpublished" with all her unreleased from the last 5 years

please don't let us down

i mean if she can do something as random as "Attention Live", why not an album of unreleased

although it needs to be released not long after a new album and not before, as to not ruin the hype for new music
