Kendrick Lamar & SZA's "All The Stars" turns 5.

"All The Stars" from the Black Panther soundtrack was released 4 January 2018 by Kendrick Lamar and SZA. It served as the lead single and end credits theme. The song peaked at #7 on the Hot 100 - becoming SZA's first top ten single as a lead artist.

 

The song was nominated for four Grammy Awards (Record, Song, Rap/Sung, Song Written for Visual Media) and earned both their first Academy Award nomination (Original Song).

Wait… “All The Stars” is 5 years old already? What? It’s one of, if not the best movie soundtrack song ever. It didn’t age a bit. I remember bopping to it on repeat after watching the 1st “Black Panther” movie. SZA’s bridge is incredible & the production by Sounwave is just chef's kiss. :clap3:

I remember being underwhelmed by it at first but the song aged amazingly. Also the beginning of SZA's commercial ascent. Edit: mess actually it came out after Love Galore.

Beautiful song. I remember being completely gobsmacked on my first listen. The re-do of SZA's verse kinda ruined it for me, the first version was majestic. Thank God I have the single version of my files app
