Deal and go cry somewhere else really. But you're the one having a meltdown with people throwing "hate" at Taylor. Others are just are just pointing out what's blatant to see in regards to the tactics and how she is the primary driver of them. You don't need to cry over it if people don't respect her attempts to take a spot from SZA who appears to be the more consumed album this week. What I want if for the charts to reflective of genuine popularity for that week Edited January 6, 2023 by Otter
Otter Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Like against Rihanna I didn't care because Rih's single was not being consumed, that was just radio/label push
Jjang Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 SOS remains the #1 most streamed album in the US regardless

Sharapov Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) The music industry is getting worse and worse. instead of promoting like in the good old day they resort to these cheap tactics Edited January 6, 2023 by Sharapov

I dont see much difference with it now
Extremely Stable Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 Come on Midnights! End ATRL's token artist of the month
vale9001 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) The most fun thing for me is seeing people get made at people buying multi versions of an album (and this means still maybe no more than the 30% of people have bought the album more than once) but you're ok to say an album is mega popular because of streams....as streams for every album after the first 2 weeks it's not just a fanbase listening to it over and over again and GP listen to only one track, two very rarely (and a huge percentage of that only passively induced by playlists). People buying multi copies of songs and albums stil >>>> people multi streaming a couple of songs of an album counting as whole album sales Edited January 6, 2023 by vale9001

Nowadays, it's all "Petty, so desperate..!!!" Pop girls were always dragged for doing multiple remixes or whenever they pulled tactics that were perceived by other stans as "desperate" though. Let's not rewrite history.
Kamil24 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 people buy multiple copies of the same album? I would never

Why are you assuming someone else won't unexpectedly drop an album or another one will go viral and blow up, and prevent further weeks at #1 for Taylor? Why should an artist take weeks at #1 for granted now?

Lille Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 I hope Taylor releases new versions every week, make ATRL cry some more.
family.guy123 Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 How many unfair weeks did 21 spend at #2? How many weeks did Christmas albums unfairly push Dangerous out of the Top 10?
Bey Admired Posted January 6, 2023 Posted January 6, 2023 30 minutes ago, argos said: What does it matter if the artist battling for #1 is black, white or asian? Y’all are ******* weird It matters a lot when white artists are continually given precedence on radio, in marketing by major record labels, and on streaming. A black woman getting #1 over a white artist who continually uses cheap tactics to enhance perceptions of her power and thus brand equity would not only be sweet justice, but it would also be a huge symbolic victory.

I think its timing was fine And obviously Dangerous was falling out of the top 10 during Christmas. Very weird comparison

Be serious.

They made more money by selling those million of MIDNIGHTS vinyl than they will ever make of SZA streaming numbers. Si why shouldn't they prioritise the artists who are making them more money? Not against SZA thou, love her album.
