There's a wild difference between promo and desperate tactics to get fans who already bought your album to buy another 4 versions, just so you can notch a number one against someone who organically has more listeners.

Those tactics have been practiced for years, the wild difference is either people buy your product or not 

SZA is not organic since she pulls same tactic too

No, having a deluxe or releasing a special edition a year down the road is not the same as weekly/monthly re-releases literally just released to secure a higher position for that week. SZA resorted to playing Taylor at her game, but the prediction was otherwise her leading... It's easy to frown on Taylor's actions because as she is so accomplished, so exposed and so the desperation to outcompete newer girls in deserve of the spotlight is not it. It blatant to everyone but her stans it seems

Taylor has barely promo'd this album after that week long blitz of media. SZA is lucky she got as many weeks as she did.

Thats not bad luck though, that's how the charts normally work lol. No.2 would be No.1 if it wasn't for more recent releases. I mean it was slightly irkesome when Draked dropped straight after Lemonade and denied it 2 weeks at number one but it's whatever. Taylor has done monster sales and her chart run and accoldates reflect that. SZA right now looks like she has the most popular album in the US & the charts should reflect that IMO. Even more so because this is such a rare feat for an RnB artist

How many weeks you spend at #1 is a lot based on luck. So yeah I am using that word.

 

And SZA hasnt released an album in 5 years, but of course she releases 7 weeks after Taylor's biggest album in 8 years. In the middle of December when usually nobody releases.

Unlucky timing for Taylor. But yeah of course it doesnt really matter, but its a bit annoying. And Taylor already is super high on the "most weeks at #1 on the BB200" list. I would enjoy to see her go up further

1 week at #1;  13 weeks at #2 

 

 

Taylor has spent 5 weeks at #1, there was no need to seal SZA's 4th and last week at #1 when Taylor was going to return to #1 next week anyways and it will finish with 10 weeks at #1 at least without any big competition coming soon...
