IBeMe Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 SZA's Kill Bill is predicted to rise to #3 on this weeks BB Hot 100. The points gap between it and Anti-Hero and Unholy is shrinking. With the mv release it will likely top the Hot 100 which would make SZA the first female artist to openly identify as Muslim to top the Hot 100. The only other muslim female artists who topped the Hot 100 are Sinead O'Connor with "Nothing Compares 2 U" and Janet Jackson with her multiple #1s however they both topped the Hot 100 before they had converted to Islam many years later. This would mean SZA would essentially be the first! Dua (Levitating & Don't Start Now) and Bebe Rexha (Meant to Be) both peaked at #2. Rita Ora at #3 with Black Widow and no other popgirl from a muslim family / background or who identifies as muslim has come close to topping the Hot 100.

She has a shot if she drops the MV at the right moment and it goes viral, but MVs nowadays are kinda dead. She could easily top the chart with decent radio but her team must be useless. She has 0 radio points while Unholy and Anti-Hero have almost 100.
CottageHore Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I honestly thought it would jump straight to #1 after the Christmas songs fell off, I’m sad :(

Kill Bill 185 40 points is a big gap you are right but maybe an mv push and remix? Also the song is yet to be pushed on radio so once it does I can totally see it rising. It might take a while tho so you are probably right. That said I do believe Kill Bill will be the next hot 100 #1 song tbh. Anti-Hero will prob rise and stay #1 for the next 2 to 3 weeks and after that perhaps Kill Bill will snatch

As you said, with a decent radio push + the MV it should be enough in 2-3 weeks, but who knows if by then a big artist has dropped something. They shouldn't be giving away chances like they are doing this week.

What a mess Well duh we wont and I think this site has made it clear that they will point out everything against muslims (fair and unfair). It's totally fine to be critical of a faith but its not ok to lump everyone who follows that faith as being bad people or to only point out bad things muslims do. Muslims are fckin human being too yall and not all of them are bad So sometimes, its ok to point out something cool like this. SZA topping the charts would probably mean a lot to many aspiring muslim artists who see themselves in her. It's also nice to see muslims who are overall liberal and not conservative or hyper religious succeed in the music industry. Isn't this what we want? "Reformed islam"? Well this is what we are looking at. Nothing wrong with that.

X~MoviePoP Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Here comes the muslim racism and hate speech from atlers

She grew up more conservatively because her dad was super religious but as she grew up she became more liberal and her whole family in general are much more relaxed and practice more of the spiritual side of islam rather than the harsh doctrines and rules which is nice to witness. It's what most muslims who live in the West practice in general. (though there are tons of conservative super strict ones too of course). Edited January 3, 2023 by IBeMe

Machete Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 SZA claims to be both Muslim and Christian. She is clearly confused

She is clearly confused I dont think she claims to be christian tho? She says she was raised with both Islam and Christianity in her house because her mom was Christian but she identifies religiously as muslim and that's the faith she practices because she says its what makes most sense to her and the best way she connects to God. Just now, KatyPrismSpirit said: she is definitely not muslim yes she is lol just because she does not follow everything to a T does not mean she isn't. Most muslims dont follow everything in their faith and still identify as muslim. Also she's done tons of interviews talking about how she is muslim.
