Soda Pop Queen Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Not Beyoncé sitting quite comfortably in the top 10 with all those digital/streaming age girls in spite of her "terrible daily streams" . And lookie there, Destiny's Child is the only old school group in the list.

The previous release is just for her Disney show. Even if they were for a show, they were still songs released in the 2010s where she is an artist credited to them (as in, it's not a "various artists" situation), so she technically did debut in the 2010s, as asinine as that sounds.
Literature Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 (edited) Is this spotify + youtube? All credits or lead credits? Edited January 3, 2023 by Literature

Tylerbv Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I’m surprised Carrie made the list given how horrible her team is with playlisting.

I don't think she'll move up any more past that though unless something we can't foresee happens, but she's still done VERY well for herself the past 4 years considering where she was at the beginning of the streaming era.

kwek_kwek Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I know it’s a lot of work, but can you include their total numbers or at least the top 10?

BGKC Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 (edited) Kind of expected Nelly Furtado to be higher on the list. Top 50 at least… and no Fergie in sight? The top 20 comes to no surprise tho. Edited January 3, 2023 by BGKC

Only the "&"/"with" are lead credits, but sometimes a song that is labeled as "ft." makes it's way onto the featured artist's main page as if it were a co-lead. I have no idea why/how that happens, but occasionally it does.

Surely you don't want us to believe Nicki is bigger on Spotify than everyone bar Taylor, Ariana, and Rihanna?
PoisonedIvy Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Are Carly’s streams seriously not good enough for her to be above girl in red or Raye? Carly’s biggest 3 hits are much bigger than the 3 biggest songs from either of those 2, I thought — and her discography is pretty beloved by her fanbase. She’s also probably a much more successful touring artist than either. I really don’t get it

PoisonCandy Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I've always wondered if Kesha would have been up there with Gaga and Katy if the Dr. Luke stuff hadn't happened.
Russell22 Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Taylor and Ari are gonna be top 2 for a long time
Holiest Dreams Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Okay ngl I had no clue Taylor had that big of a lead over Ariana already It sounds absolutely unreal that she's going to easily end 2023 with well over 50B streams
Hunter_13 Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I didn't know Taylor was already that close to 39B

Honestly, I doubt it. She has always been behind on streaming for some reason, for example even her music videos have very low views relative to her peers - both in terms of how they initially performed and the recurrent views they got during the YouTube era. I have absolutely no clue why though because her hits were definitely big and the views don't reflect that. It's unfortunate though because she definitely deserves to be up there. But, I could see her getting a viral hit ala RUTH, Bloody Mary or [insert other older female songs that have become big bc they went mega-viral] one day, because she already had several songs gain traction on TikTok in the last two years.
