Why doesn't Billboard have African and Carribean region charts?

There's only these official South African - radio and streaming - charts, but what about the rest of the continent?

Same thing for the Carribean nations like Jamaica etc...

All these regions have access to retailers like Amazon, iTunes and streaming services...

Michelle has been smashing in these regions for a decade and there's no official charts tracking her slayage.

Say Yes has literally been on some of their iTunes charts since release in 2014!

Most Asia and Africa don't have official charts. It's difficult to track with many local streaming sites

Difficult to track, plus not much traction I guess.

Plus being #42 in St Kitts and #43 in Antigua in iTunes probably resembles one copy in like three days or something

Why can't they use the same major Western retailers they use for Western countries?

- iTunes/Apple Music

- YouTube

- Spotify

- TIDAL

- Amazon

etc...

Hard to track and that costs money which they seem to be struggling with (Billboard making pay to see walls is not for nothing)

because as someone who lives in a developing country, not everyone has access to those tools. People earn minimum wages in most part of the under-developed world. Most of the people will either pirate music or only listen to youtube. So whatever numbers you have from spotify, apple music, or paid services in general does not represent what most of the people are listening to, just what most of the elite is listening to.

This is really misguided.

I have family in Jamaica, the average person has a smartphone and/or a computer with internet access. Just because countries aren't "Western" doesn't mean most people are living in mud huts without modern technology. They are accessing digital and streaming platforms.

The nations mentioned in OP have access to these services because the retailers/service providers deem there is a big enough market to warrant access

Girl we have those services but only a very small population of those countries actually pay for them.

it is a trolling thread? A #38 in Burkina faso on itunes probably means one copies sold in 4 days. Now a #38 sells 8 copies daily in Italy (). What chart do you want? Michelle is charting there cause everyone has at least one fan in every country. So that one copy makes her chart (even for weeks).
