Based on the HDD year-end chart these are some of their albums that sold over 500k units in the US in 2022: Taylor: TAYLOR SWIFT | MIDNIGHTS 3,300,000 TAYLOR SWIFT | RED (TAYLOR'S VERSION) 936,000 TAYLOR SWIFT | FOLKLORE 789,000 Drake: DRAKE | CERTIFIED LOVER BOY 1,317,000 DRAKE & 21 SAVAGE | HER LOSS 1,040,000 DRAKE | HONESTLY, NEVERMIND 806,000

Dont u think its fair that the TV stats get added to the OG? I mean after all theyre just essentially glorified re issues/repackages. Red TV should boost Red OGs numbers tbh

Both Fearless TV and RED TV have reduced the streams of the OG versions severely.

On one hand it is not different than a nth anniversary edition re-issue. On the other hand it is just a cover album…by the same artist. But overall I think it comes down to the effect on the market. This was not meant to supplement a prior work like a live album or a cover album, but is actually meant to copy and replace the prior work. It is more a continuation of prior IP goodwill and value than it is the creation of new IP.
