At least they're smart to hop on Afrobeats now with Tyla popularizing it again

Since the year is ending soon, and we are about to enter 2024, I have a spicy question that can start a big debate:

How would y’all rank the 10 biggest 4th gen groups in order right now including both ggs and bgs in terms of career and popularity? :khalyan2:

4th gen Kpop competition is so fierce and exciting! :khalyan2:

1. NewJeans

They got sales, charts success, acclaim. Not my favs but they are the #1 atm

2. Stray Kids

Bigger bg right now, the only thing they lack is korean digital success.

3. IVE

Big digitals, good sales, the 4 gen It Girl, their tour is doing ok.

4. Aespa

Great sales, good digitals, great touring numbers, all the members are popular.

5.G idle

They smash in digitals, ok touring numbers and their sales are not the biggest but its ok.

6. Lesserafim

Good digitals, great performers, ok sales.

7. TxT

They are successful but very inconsistent.

8. Enhypen

They have great streams and ok sales. They lack success in korea.

9. Ateez

They are very popular, their fandom is growing fast.

10.StayC/Itzy

Itzy was doing great but they have fallen hard, the only have albums sales atm. StayC do great in Korea but are a bit inconsistent.

Nmixx and Trashure out of the top 10, their fraudulent numbers are not accepted.

So we're doing the rankings again

 :clack:

4th Gen GGs overall:

1. Aespa (2020)

2. IVE (2021)

3. NewJeans (2022)

4. ITZY (2018)

5. LSF (2022)

NJ will jump to #1 when they release their next physical and LSF will jump over ITZY when their new mini drops.

As for boy groups, they’re all incredibly irrelevant but after Googling the ones you guys mentioned in this thread:

1. SKZ (2018)

2. TXT (2019)

3. ENHYPEN (2020)

4. Treasure (2020)

5. RIIZE (2023)

Are there more than five 4th Gen boy groups? Do any of them have a digital hit with even 100M digital points? :deadbanana:

I would say NMIXX and STAYC are basically in the same tier though.

SEVENTEEN are also not 4th gen and debuted before BP

You ranking makes sense tbh. Though I would still say that ITZY are overall bigger than STAYC, and also maybe ATEEZ :bird:

Horrible takes as usual, you’re probably the only member in here who’s ranking I didn’t want to see tbh :suburban:

STAYC

TEENFRESH - 380,544

Bubble (Spotify) - 14,778,619 (+67,821 daily)

Bubble (Circle) - 139,230,768 points (+6,193,311 last week)

ITZY

Kill My Doubt - 1,293,092

CAKE (Spotify) - 43,332,311 (+226,247 daily)

CAKE (Circle) - 98,770,936 points (+3,229,623 last week)

STAYC needs to at least double in success just to match ITZY :deadbanana:

There has never been a moment in Aespa’s career where they were smaller than (G)-IDLE. Why do I constantly see this thread ranking G-IDLE as #3 when they’re just now passing ITZY (in current success) for fifth place?

You’re just mad because I’m the only one who can back up their rankings with actual stats. Just say you wanted to live in your delusions or I’ll start posting SKZ’s digitals.

G-IDLE are the Dua Lipas of Kpop. They had hits but they don't have the same power as other MKPGs

Leave SKZ alone! :biblionny:
It’s funny how you only look at digitals and don’t wanna compare sales, streams and touring or even global charting when it comes to SKZ, since you usually use these other metrics to determine who’s the biggest gg etc. :suburban:

Many Z-list Kpop idols (when in Korea) became A/B-list stars when they came back to China, so i don't see why she won't follow the same footsteps
