you cannot compare blackpink's 2018 album sales to aespa's 2022 album sales sis

we can only compare aespa's 2021 to bp's 2021, aespa's 2022 to blackpink's 2022 etc album sales keeps growing every year 

aespa in their 3rd year already on the same league with bp in terms of album sales is such a massive feat (the only 4th gen gg that can compete with bp on album sales dept btw)

MYs, stop being jealous of third gen’s success and just be grateful that your fave was able to snatch some bulk buying fans and ride on a wave created by bigger acts who elevated K-pop to such a massive global level to the point of becoming biggest gg in general with record breaking world tour. 

 

All you did was prove that Aespa was stronger in their debut year and second year on Spotify. They did slightly worse in their third year and their fourth year is still going, but they’ll probably do worse because they don’t have streaming farms and Dua Lipa to help them out. Spotify is not a good look for Blinks to fall back on in 2023 because you all just got caught for manipulating “Money’s” streams  

 

Imagine trying to drag Aespa for bulk-buying as a Blink when part of your fave’s legacy was a huge increase in sales because your fave offered so many different versions of The Album.

Way to totally misconstrue what happened. A Blink was attempting to drag and so I was dragging third gen stans for still trying to compare their faves to fourth gen. I’m not a MY - I’m a SONE and I watched my faves, who were significantly more popular and important than any third gen acts, get all of their sales records destroyed and learned to be happy about it because it meant my faves had grown K-pop into a much larger field and it added to my fave’s legacy.

 

Blinks and ONCEs need to learn to do the same. Even the fourth most popular fourth gen group (LE SSERAFIM) is moving units faster than TWICE and BP ever did and now BaeMon and SMNGG are coming to do the same.

are you gonna act like Kpop in 2016 can be comparable to kpop in 2021? The only reason Adspa looks “bigger” is because kpop became bigger, thus groups selling more and getting more streams. Thanks to groups like BLACKPINK for the success of Kpop internationally

 

the only thing adspa did was ride off the fame BLACKPINK ushered in.

Felix has really improved vocally recently, and can now actually hold a note He used to be the worst singer of the group but now it’s Hyunjin. 
Hyunjin is the only member who can’t hold a note in the group, but at least he’s a good rapper and dancer 🕺🏼

That’s my whole ******* point, sis. The fourth gen is bigger than the third gen because the third gen helped elevate K-pop and anybody denying it is delusional as hell.

 

And maybe quit trying to drag Aespa for benefiting from the growth in K-pop. Your faves only got to where they are because SNSD, Wonder Girls, KARA and 2NE1 paved the way for them. BlackPink were also just riding the Hallyu Wave and benefited just as much as Aespa did. And just like BP helped push the genre in new areas, Aespa (and other fourth gen groups) will do the same.

I wasn’t even pushing Aespa vs. BlackPink, sis. My original post was that crusty ass third gen stans need to get over themselves and quit trying to drag the success of fourth gen groups.

 

It reminds me of when second gen stans would drag third gen. It’s so cyclical and we shouldn’t have to go through it again.
