there's something about Aespa that just doesn't work for me. I don't think a single member of that group possesses a true star quality.

This is the exact comment I wanted to make. Blessed-Cursed outside of the name is not a good song. Hopefully we back on track with this new single.

Ngl I was also anti-Blessed-Cursed at first just because it was the first time they strayed away from their moody/mysterious/melodious music and concept and it wasn’t expecting it. But as time went on, I realized how great of a song it was on its own. So I’ve grown to absolutely love it now  I crank it up to the max everytime it plays. That prechorus-to-chorus flow is literally so hype without being too in your face imo, and I love the video and the 2000s styling

anyway all this aside, I still think Liz has an immense potential to be a truly great vocalist. Like the raw talent that girlie has is crazy, so I sincerely hope she gets proper professional SM level  vocal training.

I read a post on reddit about this, apparently is a result of w1 not being fair with line distributions for a few comebacks now so the solo stans are not supporting this cb, and the apparent bad reception their last cb had, I think all the parts (company, idols and fans) are kinda over this group/project

Listened to IVE album in full and i'm impressed, must be my favorite 4th gen gg album so far: blue blood, I am, kitsch, mine and hypnosis are my favorites. 

 

Also very excited with seventeen, I got into their music a few months ago when the song "rock with you" played ramdomly, listened to some their other songs and checked a few episodes of their show and I like them. The bss unit is really good, so I want to see what they release now.

 

This year has been good so far: IVE, Nmixx, Kai, aespa, onew have released really good songs. Jisoo and Jimin debuts (like crazy) were great and subunits like bss and mamamoo+ released good songs too, the only project that sadly dissappointed me is apink, hopefully next comeback they re back on track

Liz would be great for some OST opportunities until they get a bit more seniority - gives her a chance to demonstrate her talent without the pressure of an actual solo

The 2023 Kpop ggs full album trend already sound so great and promising with IVE full album as the opener and appetizer

 

The May ggs full album battle would be fun to watch (extra fun if Gidle decide to release a full album) and can't wait for the ultimate experience of New Jeans full album scheduled in June/July

People are getting fed up with Dayeola push that doesn't make any sense. Also Chaehyun doesn't have any star quality at all yet she's the official center. W1 are pushing the wrong members for like 4 comebacks now. It'll only go downhill from now. They should push Xiaoting or Bahiyyih and let them hard carry the group if they want to increase sales

Was looking at the 2nd gen girlies Spotify Monthly listeners (including solos + subunits to get the real big picture) and whew SNSD's total monthly listeners are huge. Enormous gap between them and everyone else. Wonder Girls have a huge gap next to #3 as well. Taeyeon and Sunmi their powah.

Yeah Taeyeon and Sunmi are probably the biggest 2nd gen soloists on Spotify in general. If we ignore IU of course lol.
