How they sell out stadiums on US and struggle to fill 8k capacity on a country they have multiple popular songs, I will never understand  :gaycat7:

the queens deserved better on Korea.

Like fr. Twice’s downfall in SK should be studied by kpop experts, because it’s getting crazy.. :dies:

I remember years ago someone on ATRL said that most of TWICE fans in 2015-2018 were male fans who were typically unloyal and would drop them the when they got older or a new hot group came in. Back then I thought it was just the user being jealous but they might have made some points. I also think that their vocal and dating scandals had more impact than we thought they did. Having hit songs doesn't really mean being good at selling concert tickets in SK, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think SISTAR struggled a lot in touring too and they were a group with many hits like TWICE.

FNC Entertainment needs to be shut down.

Laziest company ever. They clearly tried to sabotage cherry bullet with P.O.W! :shakeno:

Also, is it just me or is 8TURN studying NCT? It's giving WAYV/NCT DREAM. Its a bop!

Edit:

Right after posting I found out that they have already covered like 3 NCT songs already and SUPERM. Guess I was right. Let me go listen to their album! :clap3:

This Yujin controversy is a little ridiculous to me. She didn't edit that picture into the video, the editing team did which I really didn't like. She said I saw girls like you on tiktok, not I saw BLACK girls like you on tiktok. Also I guess you can make a case for so-called "sassy" behavior but black women aren't the only women to wag fingers, say hey and be "Sassy" I feel like this is a little overblown tbh 🤷‍♀️

Or maybe as a black folk myself, I feel really desensitized unless someone maliciously says the N word or paints their face black for jokes :coffee2:

You're not wrong. It's just curious how they were able to solidify a big fandom to the point of selling out multiple stadiums in a country they are popular just in a niche, but couldn't in a country they have a bigger reach due to their popular songs.

It's not even a 'TWICE' problem, exactly. But big girlgroups in general only fill KSPO Dome at best.

Unsold tour tickets, flopped single, overshipped album. But booking stadiums in America. It does seem quite bizarre :cm:

More like classics means nothing to Koria

TBH I think Twice losing their charting power in Korea has more to do with overexposure rather than the concept change (like many users claim)

Songs after the concept change such as Fancy, Feel Special and More & More did well, not as successful as their previous singles but you can’t expect a group to constantly get smash hits so :michael:

I’m sure they would do better after a long break but it’s clear that they are focusing on the international market instead (and succeeding) so none of this stuff really matters at the end :clap3: they already have enough hits that most groups would dream of

I think it’s a valid curiosity and i also think it’s not about “having a lot of popular songs”, but more about “having a loyal fanbase”? Because as far as we know, Twice, much like Sistar, has always been GP’s popstars in Korea. (Of course Twice was way bigger but you get my point). And when they changed their concept or had a shift in their sound, a big part of the GP that usually tuned in to that image of theirs just moved on. It happens, and even though it seems like an extreme change because their highs in Korea were very very high, i think it’s not the end of the world because they solidified their global fanbase in the meantime. The fact that they’re hitting new career milestones outside of Korea 8 years into their career is very impressive. And I think that’s why JYP is also not losing sleep over it because they’re still raking in money for themselves and the company. Plus they’re starting to roll out more solo projects now (hopefully sooner for everybody though) and the fans are even more excited for this new era of Twice.

Her support in China is also surging on Weibo as well.

She should serve a cute mini with Kaching on the tracklist. It would probably do numbers :clap3:

These major fanbars usually have inside info, so maybe an Irene solo really is in the works...

NewJeans and IVE are proof that its better to have all average vocalists than a group with a Jihyo then a Momo, all it takes is one live encore and :toofunny3:

I feel bad for them because Nayeon, Jihyo and Sana are good vocalists and people only focus on one bad vocalist :deadvision:
