Groups like BTS, BP, TWICE, EXO, RV, Mamamoo were all at their peaks. 2020-2021: Once the 3rd gen started to fall off slowly, the pandemic started which hit the 4th gen the most since some of these rookie groups still haven’t performed in front of a live audience yet, and the whole world in general being limited in terms of promo, performance etc. 2022: 3rd gen starting to fall off and the pandemic ending. For the first time ever, 4th gen are finally taking over and are able to thrive without the pandemic, and being in the shadows of 3rd gen. 2023: Then according to MNET, 5th gen has already started this year Can y’all see why it doesn’t feel right to move onto 5th gen already, not until 2025 at least? BP did not peak in 2018/2019 but ok neither did BTS and they did not start to fall off either lol debuting during the pandemic actually helped AESPA break records so... On 2/28/2023 at 8:48 AM, Zack said: Yeah I mean it's too early for 5th gen. However 3rd gen is lasting unusually long, especially the top tier GGs. BP, RV and TWICE were all million sellers last year and they all have areas where they are still growing, either domestically, internationally or both. The 2nd gen GGs, SNSD, 2NE1, WG etc. all declined around the 7 years point. i mean so shouldn't we be happy that the new generation of kpop girls are still prospering and doing their thing instead of wanting and anticipating new ones just for the sake of keeping an old system alive and going? On 2/28/2023 at 9:24 AM, Bonjourtristesse said: SZA, Bad Bunny, Blackpink, BTS are absolutely niche when being compared to Whitney, Mariah, Beyonce, Rihanna, Bruno Mars in their prime. The first group’s popularity mostly comes from a dedicated demographic, whether they be tik tok genz or K-pop stans, whereas the “traditional” popstars are/were consumed by multiple generations across the globe. we also have to consider asian artists becoming mainstream and having their big breaks outside of their markets is a very big deal like asian acts are able to sell stadiums and arenas right now and i couldn't be more happier. for that reason those artists are not niche because the way music is consumed now is the equivalent of popstars from before where they touched multigenerational listeners streaming has the same affect with enough exposure which is what those artists have On 2/28/2023 at 9:33 AM, Bonjourtristesse said: Worldwide. Bad Bunny is obviously a mainstream household name among Latin countries/communities, just like BTS is obviously mainstream in Asia, but outside of their target audiences, both acts are niche. not true plenty of other races and communities know of bad bunny On 2/28/2023 at 9:40 AM, Bonjourtristesse said: Beyonce has a dozen and more hits in Asia or Europe or literally every corner of the world. She is a much bigger name than BTS or Bad Bunny. in Asia? Since when? On 2/28/2023 at 9:48 AM, Pluto2022 said: Though imagine if we were to move generations already, which means that YG will not have a gg representative and SM will not have a bg representative in the 4th gen idgaf tbh more focus and push for BP and AESPA lol On 2/28/2023 at 10:13 AM, Fanta said: mothers are mothering again who is the goddess in your avi?
discreetinside Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 (edited) Zero was fine on first listen. Not feeling enthusiastic on the song compare to their past release but could be grower. I can see Korea get into it. The way every girlies were chanting on the chorus Love Me Like This, Kitsch, and now Zero Edited April 3, 2023 by discreetinside

NumbSoul Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Obviously the chorus is a gimmick, but it's actually kinda catchy. And the rest of the song is a SERVE - they never miss

Hazy Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 they are uncapable of releasing a bad song the verses and pre chorus are sooo good the way they gave it away for a cola promo song… I bet they have true gems hidden for their next release I cackled at the translation of the chorus though good thing I don’t know Korean so I will pretend I don’t know what they’re saying Cola Zero is my guilty pleasure, so I see it ending as my anthem

elevate Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Cute song and video. The chorus is not for me but I can totally see a bunch of kids parroting coco cola majita all summer long.
aesthetic bih Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Lol not y'all hating the chorus when it's the catchiest part The verses are best parts tho! The glitchy prechorus is very weird and unpleasant to me and the only part I didn't like For an advert song, the song is very listenable and has a lot of replay value. Plus since it's available for streaming, Korea gonna eat it up, as usual with anything NJ-related!
aesthetic bih Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 21 minutes ago, getinthezone said: that damn rabbit is never leaving It's their marketing strategy and it's working. Now when the bunny appears every time they release a song, people would immediately know that a new NJ song/single/album is released, and they would check it out. For now, it's not yet annoying. I feel like their first full album's album cover is gonna be a variation of "the bunny". However, it's going to be annoying at some point.
paperfectdelusion Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 NOT them wasting a cute verse/ pre-chorus on an ad-song this would be cute for an album track
illia Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 NewJeans refuse to miss the chorus is chaotic but very catchy COCA COLA MASISSDA COCA COLA MASISSDA
Antisocialites Posted April 3, 2023 Posted April 3, 2023 Zero is yet another classic added to the current reigning K-pop group discography
