Malibu was still pretty hyped. It felt like it anyway. The GP ran to see the return of “old Miley”

Was the album tea real? The thread was closed

OT: plastic hearts in the top 10 albums of the decade so far, so I have faith that Milegend is going to serve us another masterpiece :duca::clap3:

Are y'all talking about pre-single hype?

If that's the case for RCA

it's Malibu > She Is Coming EP > We Can't Stop > Midnight Sky > Dead Petz

At the moment I'd put the hype for 'Flowers' after She Is Coming EP.

Y'all have short memories but I remember all of it like it was yesterday.

She Is Coming definitely had hype but it was ruined by that messy live performance of Cattitude that went viral along with Mother’s Daughter being bad

Did any insider get to spill on what the sound would be like? I'm kind of getting confused on how some posters here are throwing out dance & disco... :dies:

I'll still take her videos over Miley's self-directed MVs tbh. :gaycat6:

Fetish is really cool. I think Petra has potential

Mother's Daughter is great, but the roll out was a mess. No one had any idea which song was supposed to be the actual single, all they did was give MD a very limited amount of playlisting and drop a random visual for DREAM. :rip:

Despite that, MD still debuted at Spotify's Top10 in the US, but they did nothing for the song for months. When they finally sent it to radio and dropped the MV was too late.

I remember it debuted higher than Never Really Over there, which was released in the same day.

Mother's Daughter and bad don't belong in the same sentence. (Except this one)

Did we even know SIC was an EP until the day of? I remember thinking it was just going to be a single for a very long time :toofunny3:

Malibu had more hype than Midnight Sky I would say. It would’ve debuted top 5 if it was released on a Friday too

i’m so excited for this era as a whole she better not **** up specially considering what we’ve heard so far from the album sessions sounds stellar

How many streams do you guys think Flowers will do on Day 1 in the US next Friday? US Spotify numbers are pretty weak at the moment, besides SZA.

I'll probably only have a guess after hearing the song and seeing the playlisting for it, but her past releases all had exact 1.1M filtered streams on Day 1 in the US.

there’s You and snippets of songs called Lost On You and Best Night and of course the songs before she left RCA ****** Up Forever and Mirror which surely won’t be included but are indicators of the sound I guess?

if it’s true that Mark Ronson is one of the producers for this album then disco is not far off.

Awaiting an album full of NBLAHs

Imagine the mess if it’s something like “Flowers feat. Billie Eilish coming 1/13” :gaycat6:
