Croatia adopts the euro currency and enters Europe’s passport-free Schengen zone after nearly a decade since joining the European Union. At midnight on January 1, 2023, the Central-European nation will bid farewell to its kuna currency and become the 20th member of the eurozone. It will also be the 27th nation in the passport-free Schengen zone, which enables more than 400 million people to move freely around its member nations.

Are y'all ready for another set of new euro coin motifs? :soda:

Fellow Croats, are we ready for another inflation? :soda:

Did the @Bloodflowers. propaganda pay off and has Croatia left the Balkans? :soda:

Queen of Europe, Ursula von der Leyen, will visit Zagreb tomorrow and grab a coffee with our PM. The coffee will, of course, be paid for in euros. :soda:

We will have to wait a bit at the Austria-Slovenia border but that's fine.

Austria has always been pressed at Croatia and Slovenia.

Almost a week later:

It's a mess

Everything is more expensive

People give too many tips because they think coins are still worthless

The government is pretending to care but they're not

BUT

At least we're Central European now. :soda:

We were always central European :rip:

At least the region that was culturally with Austria and Hungaria for 600 years and never occupied by Ottoman Empire, cannot speak for the rest :celestial5:
