Has social media completely desensitized you to attractive men/ beauty in general?

before social media, seeing an attractive man (whether on the street or on TV) was a big deal. you'd go; "WOW."

 

but I feel like nowadays, everyone is desperate to go viral. everyone wants to be a mini-celebrity. best way to do that? show off your body. whether sexually, doing some stupid viral trend, or posting bodybuilding routines. some way or another, a man will have his shirt off.

 

it's gotten to the point where it just doesn't do it for me anymore. I'm so used to seeing feed upon feed of beauty, that it's not beauty anymore. it's boring. You have a six pack; big deal. You have a nice smile? big deal. I've seen a million of you just from 5 minutes of strolling through instagram. You did a tiktok viral trend that shows off your body? so what. seen it before. there's a hundred million bodybuilders that look just like you.

 

its all boring to me now. i wish I could go back to when a six pack was something rare. not so anymore.

In real life no, I'm still drooling when I see an attractive men.

 

But I agree that in social media, it has become boring. The most clear example for me was Maluma, I see his ig every now and then, but nothing. Everything he shows, +1000 other users are showing it as well

There is nothing more boring than someone being pretty. Also as I get older I realize that the whole fit Insta look is not attractive to me at all.

It still takes a lot of hard work to get a really nice body though, I can respect that. I kind of get what you mean, but conventionally attractive people have never really been my type anyway.

On the flip side, I actually see other body types being appreciated heavily on  Tik tok and IG. I follow a lot of sexy plus size men who don’t have abs or v lines.
