Also, how did she sign to a label and is getting the least push she's had in ages. From playlisting to radio...it's giving nothing. 

 

I'm hoping they are saving the all-out push for the most bankable track they have, which may be one of the rumored big collabs she has e.g. Lil Baby, Chris Brown, Latto. But I'm not holding my breath. Because spending so much $$$ on a Dave Meyers video for Jump only to spend nothing on payola for it tells me all I need to know about those managing the music aspect of her career atm. She has great brand management and has made quite the rebound since the dark days of Basic Instinct. But she needs dedicated music management. Pending that, I hope she can score a cute viral moment. 

My biggest issue is why keep putting out this sound out OVER AND OVER when GP & her core fans are not asking for this……

 

Her audience is at least 25+…….

 

We want music we can proudly bop and vibe to.

i agree. i get it that crunk and that atl look and sound is HER but at the same time we need variety. so many missed opportunities for more classics and hits in her catalog that would've shown other sides and had her explore other sounds and have her secure crossover capability such as pucker up, turntables with chris brown, keep dancin on me, tell me what your name is, turn it up with usher, livin it up with nicki minaj, overdose, give me love, freak with tekno and nana. smfh who is managing her career because again she could do so much better and be so much bigger with the right management and music because EVERYONE i know actually really likes her, it's just over the years theirs been too many hits and misses so it's created a division and disconnect for sure

 

also echo, i'm on, sweat with 2chainz, backseat love, one night with you, oh baby and special edition need to be on ALL streaming platforms. you got your masrters now sis so get your **** together.

 

also sis you're an urban staple broaden your horizons and book collabs get another nicki minaj collab or the other rap girlies like megan, doja, saweetie, latto, missy, cardi, eve even at this point just switch it up and link up with people. summer walker was a breath of fresh air. keep that sound and momentum going please

ciara was never really never known for edge. her sides have always been bangers, ballad or sexy. never edgy

yeah i tried to push her new singles to my friends to see their reaction and alot of them were not ******* with the fact that she's very transparently trying to appeal to a tiktok crowd. the way she's stuck in her ways with her sound without updating it but on top of it diluting it making it come off juvenile is a choice. like i refuse to believe that she can't secure latto, megan thee stallion, bia and saweetie are like right there!

BUT...we cannot forget that this is the music business. I can't be convinced she's turning a profit on any of this. Directors like Dave Meyers are not cheap. Even on "friends and family rates".

 

Her enlisting people like that make clear that she wants to deliver and arguably compete on a grand scale. I'd be more inclined to believe that she's not fussed about commercial success if she was doing a Tinashe or Dawn Richard. Economical videos released often and endless touring for a niche audience. But that's not her steez. She's going for mainstream looks, mainstream directors, and mainstream features. 

 

It'd be different if she was having Rihanna-like success with her other ventures, but that doesn't seem to be the case. 

 

Money clearly isn't an issue for her, but as long as being an artist is her main hustle, she kinda sorta has to get her ish together and fast. It doesn't make sense to be haemorrhaging funds on output that is delivering less and less returns. She either has to pivot to a more Tinashe/Dawn Richard route or really put the right people/strategists/creatives/overall team in place to ensure her efforts aren't constantly in vain.

ding, ding, ding! it doesn't help that she's around people that probably coddle and enabler her stubbornness and don't push her anymore as a creator, artist etc. you're gonna have to point me out to mainstream features because i don't see it. i do agree it's like she's operating on the fact that she should be getting success and acclaim regardless because of who she is when the work isn't matching the talent and her obvious capabilities that we are all well aware of her being able to deliver. ciara needs to do a proper tour. one that isn't derailed by yet another pregnancy no offense. i think working with timbaland and tinashe would actually help bring her up to speed and show some growth while still remaining true to her roots. one can argue ciara becoming the celebrity that she has is a successful venture in itself. she also gets alot of endorsements and models too. she ain't broke lol

sorry yall for responding back on this old thread. i had to come back and bring it up just because i heard both da gurlz and the remix and i'm just so hurt at the decline. rooted, jump and better thangz are all cute but just that.
