Symmetra Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) Out of 10. Altanta is a 3/10. Marta is the ******* pits, always delays or no shows for the buses. And when you do get a bus on time the drivers always have attitudes. Don’t get me started on the trains and there always being a delay on the north and south line. Yet they stay trying to find a reason to increase the price. Edited December 26, 2022 by Symmetra
KFC Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 London is 8/10. It never takes me too long to get where I need to go, even at night. Decently priced and all services are very frequent. The tubes are delayed quite a lot of the time however there's always another route you can take
Kamil24 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Toronto - 0/10 lately as you are likely to be attacked/killed there.
Jotham Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 6/10 BART is overhyped imo. It's expensive and should have longer hours of operation.
NumbSoul Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Warsaw - 9/10 I used to complain about it a lot, but after my recent travels I came to appreciate it so much more Buses, city trains, trams, metro... We have it really good over here. Once a couple of the new connections they're working on are complete and they maybe add a few more metro lines, it will be absolutely incredible.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 26, 2022 ATRL Moderator Posted December 26, 2022 I live in the suburbs in Southern California, so ZERO.
Almodusa Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 NYC… realistically a 7/10 but I can understand why people would rate it much lower

I went to high school / undergrad in that area-ish and the idea of using public transport … lol. I live in OC now and it’s not really any better. You just have to have a car ugh.
Symmetra Posted December 26, 2022 Author Posted December 26, 2022 Tell me why I’m otw back from the airport and the bus driver drove the bus across the street to stop at Wendy’s . Chile…
wastedpotential Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Currently living right outside Amsterdam and it's probably a 9/10
makeme Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Orlando is 0/10 you NEED a car to do basically anything in Florida
BenAmuro Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 7/10 Taking the bus and metro in Copenhagen is fine, but the train line is trash
Subzero Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Honestly atm 8/10 (strictly speaking on the bus) Pros - It's rarely packed - Drivers are almost always super nice - Rarely ever comes late - And it's free, has been since covid started Only cons - Doesn't run passed 11pm in our area, which is bad for my brother as he gets out a little later than that - It won't be free anymore starting in March but our state is *supposedly* aiming to make it free permanently, so we'll see
Taylucifer Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 0 probs one of the worst public transportation in the whole world, makes me wanna kms

Nano Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Not a New Yorker, but how can you NYC guys unironically give it a lower score? Don't you have like 24-hour subways and ****?

KOMHStan13 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Boston 5/10: Pros: T covers a lot of the parts of the city I want to go to and there are two different lines within a 5 min walking distances Cons: Lines are infrequent, lines don't run late enough, but my main problem is that buses are SOOOO unreliable. They are supposed to be staggered every 30 mins (for downtown lines!) but usually end up stacked and being 5-10 mins apart, meaning the next one won't come for like 40+ minutes. Also every single line on the T breaks down often, which can double the trip time. Another problem I have is that there are a lot of places that I want to go but the line doesn't go to that area, so it becomes like a 40 min T ride and then a 30 min walk. Also I can't use the commuter rail to work bc it only runs hourly which means I have to drive to Needham everyday. Washington DC: 7/10 (take w/ a grain of salt bc I only take the metro and not super often) Pros: The Metro is super nice and clean, and I actually started to take it very recently instead of driving to DC. Several lines go far out into the suburbs and while it obviously takes a bit longer than driving, it doesn't feel like too big of a hassle Cons: I can't speak on the bus system and how good it is (not a con tho just a N/A), super expensive -- idk how they calculate fare but going to and from a caps game cost me like $12 or something crazy like that which is wild for a metro trip, doesn't run late enough to be able to use it to go out in DC and make it back to the suburbs
