Ladbabyhave now broken The Beatles record for most number one singles in a row :biblio: :biblio:

Leona, Alexandra, James Arthur, One Direction, Little Mix...

In fact, Leona and Alexandra just give us an epic Whitney/Mariah-esque duet charity single for next Christmas to end Ladbaby's Christmas #1 streak.

Please. You both have record-breaking Christmas singles.

Lewis' version of the song broke a world record after it was downloaded 50,000 times within just 30 minutes of release.[35] It sold over 100,000 copies on its first day on sale (an X Factor winner record later beaten by Alexandra Burke in 2008 and then again by James Arthur in 2012)[36] and also went on to become the most downloaded song of 2006.

It was the United Kingdom's second best selling single of 2006.[32] In January 2007, the single was awarded Platinum status by the British Phonographic Industry.[33] The song has sold 943,000 copies in the United Kingdom as of December 2015, according to the Official Charts Company.[34]

Burke's version broke a European sales record after selling over 105,000 digital downloads in just one day, breaking the previous record set by Leona Lewis.[118] The song sold 576,000 copies in its first week, becoming the fastest-selling single released by a woman in the United Kingdom and the 2008 Christmas number one, while Buckley's cover charted at number two and Cohen's original version at number 36.[113]

On 28 December 2008, the UK Singles Chart listed Burke's version as the biggest-selling single of the year,[118][119] with NME announcing sales of over one million copies since its release.[120] This also made Burke the first ever female British artist to have a million-selling single in the UK.[121] It has sold 1.330 million as of August 2016, making it the biggest-selling X Factor winner's single to date.[122]

There’s no way Leona or Alexandra would be able to get a ballad of that calibre nowadays :gaycat1:

If Simon Cowell put together a conveniently timed Christmas TV special with X Factor all-stars :gaycat1: singing Christmas classics

Then the climax, ending with a charity single, instantly avaialble, just like classic X Factor :gaycat1:

Number one confirmed. Ladbaby demolished :gaycat1:

Why is LadBaby so big in the UK to begin with? :rip:

their time is nearly up anyway. the public backlash is growing even greater this year because they posted multiple videos begging people to buy the song. people rightly hate them and see through their fake charity tactics.

i also read on buzzjack that for the first time they wouldn’t have been #1 this year with regular chart rules. they would have actually been #4 without ACR this week so their numbers are pretty unremarkable.
