Anyone Else Dealing With Anxiety Disorder?

Anxiety girls get in!

I've been battling OCD for over a decade now. I've been diagnosed so I'm not just saying that like people who are a little obsessive about things being and looking tidy like to say!) I've used several medications. (Currently on Anafranil + Aripiprazole)

What about y'all? And how do y'all deal with it?

Literally going though an anxiety episode right now :( It comes and goes as it pleases and usually only have 3-4 episodes a year.

Used to be on Ativan for anxiety but stopped taking my meds once I moved to New York and had no doctor to get my prescription refilled. Truthfully I get bouts of panic attacks but I’ve overcome a lot of it just by living life, being busier & building confidence.

Severe anxiety here.

I refuse to use medications besides all natural Marijuana and cbd style products. They work wonders and have no dependency worries.

Yes. Was diagnosed with OCPD (obsessive compulsive personality disorder) when I was in eighth/ninth grade.

I've been on and off meds. Anxiety/OCD is so tiring and debilitating. People don't understand what you go through.

Here, I take three types of pills and was diagnosed with Asperger recently :gaycat7:

I have phobia of clowns, which is what it is, pretty easy to avoid, but I've recently developed fear of choking on food after a bad incident :skull: I have a hard time swallowing food now, which I need to get over asap before it fucks me and my life up :deadbanana:

do they actually? i also avoid xanax and other meds. I find talking to people online or distracting myself with game/porn/youtube the best way to ‘rid’ of it (at least when it’s happening)

yeah I struggled with anxiety in university and saw a therapist for it at the time (which tbh wasn't that helpful lol) and I very briefly took a medication that also wasn't that helpful, but I've had it much more under control since graduating a couple of years ago and entering the workplace. I still get bouts from time to time but I've mostly been able to manage it by making healthier choices like being sure to get enough sleep, exercising regularly, etc.

yeah I have it really bad.  Think my anxiety/bpd gets worse before an Allday concert, because with my anxiety I won't eat then I end up getting dizzy and making myself really sick!

I'm better with social anxiety now, But i still suffer the one when I have to go out into the open world alone.

I don't have anxiety disorder but I seldom have anxiety episodes. But they are rational because many unexpected bad things have happened to me in the past so sometimes I get those feelings. If I earsed 100% my problem then I would loose all my anxiety.

Yes. I’ve been dealing with severe anxiety for over a 1.5 year, ever since I got diagnosed with GERD with daily heartburns that don’t respond to medicine.

I have daily muscle cramps, headaches and chest pain, at some point I even developed alopecia from stress. What helps me is yoga, running, reading and ESPECIALLY spending time around people. Work makes me stressful, but I have to earn money.

I’m currently doing a bit better with 40mg Paxil and 1mg Valproix. But for some reason I think everything behind my anxiety is in the gut problem and no doctors sees a way to help me.

This blog helped me when I was at my worst, essentially the thing is to let go of fear of relaxation: http://nothingworks.weebly.com

does it get easier with time? I've been diagnosed with OCD (more of obsessivity issues + mood switches) and currently taking fluanxol, some sedatives and gidazepam (tranquilliser which is banned in some countries like the US) if my mood gets f*cked up severely. Though I take 4x of recommended dose of gidazepam because 0.1g doesn't help at all :rip: I've been on meds for a month now and any trigger can still mess me up which ruins personal relationship :rip: it is easier than it was before but still I want it to be gone for f*cking GOOD :chick3:

been battling anxiety and taking medication for 6 years. I quit my job today due to an anxiety attack triggered by my manager and senior VP. It can have an effect on finances and relationships but I’ve survived and will continue to do so. You will get through as well

I battle anxiety and took medication for a short period of time but it made me gain weight so I stopped taking it. So now I basically go day by day and try to manage it.

omg that was a trigger for me! I literally could not really swallow food or eat :rip: It was terrible. Thankfully, it went away and I don't even know how but I had that and it was horrible. I completely understand.

I suffer from severe social anxiety and OCD. I've suffered from OCD my entire life, and social anxiety more as I got older. I was a very outgoing kid, etc. but I also suffered a lot of trauma and abuse in my family that I think really made me start having social anxiety. I'm currently off my meds :rip: Because I moved out of state and I don't have insurance yet or a new doctor but working on it.

Also I don't want to get back on meds rn because I think Zoloft was making me gain weight :rip: And I've lost weight since I've been off it so yeah. I need to try a new med that won't make me gain a pound. I need to remain a skinny legend or my mental health will go even more downhill.

Yes it does but it requires a lot of work to get to a point where your compulsions don't have such a negative impact and take too much time and energy. Same with staying there! It can get worse again however for some time and then better again... it comes in Waves (feat. 6LACK) really. :michael:

And tell me about I literally dream of a pill that would just erase the whole problem. Scientist need to hurry the f up. :jonny:
