Elon’s employees have been speaking out against him for years. It’s a bigger crime to these people to ruin Twitter than it is to grossly exploit workers. What is your point?  That these people are doing the wrong thing or that everyone needs to be a perfect actor when engaging with society?  I am absolutely willing to bet you yourself have purchased from a company engaged in unscrupulous behavior or with management that workers have spoken up against without you being aware of it.

His point is that it’s stupid. Elon didn’t invent the Tesla automobile, he just purchased and acquired the company, just like twitter.

These ppl only are annoyed now that he is in the forefront of the headlines and it makes them seem uncool, not because they care about the actual mistreatment of employees, which Tesla has spoken out about before lol

 

literally as of five days ago the shareholders held a meeting to try to push Elon out of Tesla as ceo. They don’t like him either.

How do you know though that these people didn’t become aware of the companies offenses as a result of the intense publicity over the last weeks? 
 

Also even if they don’t care, does it matter if they are still choosing the right thing by not supporting this company? Like if you actually care about the company’s offenses, then you should not support people continuing to purchase its products just because not doing so would cause a mildly inconsistent behavior.

I agree but I think the key here is that new buyers are looking at the current climate to determine whether it's a good investment.

 

If it's true that Elon's Twitter shenanigans are hurting new Tesla sales, I imagine it's also affecting the car resale value. People are gonna care about it regardless of the bigger evil looming somewhere around

Great  I wanted a Tesla too but the quality is so poor and they fall apart too easily. I will look for an EV elsewhere and gladly so

The title of this thread is a bit of an exaggeration. As soon as the major car companies of the world took interest in EVs, Tesla was always going to lose their lead status.

 

While Elon’s antics certainly didn’t help, let’s face it Teslas are built pretty sh!tt!ly and are overly expensive.

Literally came to say this  like liberals are the LEADING ppl to buy electric cars cuz they care about the planet whilst conservatives are literally still debating whether climate change is real or not (especially in America). This is a PR nightmare lol. Elon is so dumb. The only conservatives who buy EVs are doing it for fashionable purposes and once the car is out of fashion they’ll drop it too. He lost what is probably 70% of his main market
