Renan90 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) SZA Earns First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With ‘SOS’ "SOS" achieves the biggest streaming week ever for an R&B album, and the third-largest of the year among all releases. SZA earns her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Dec. 24) as SOS starts atop the list with one of the biggest debuts of 2022. The set launches with 318,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Dec. 15, according to Luminate – largely driven by streaming activity. That start marks the fifth-largest debut of the year and SZA’s biggest week ever. SOS also garners the biggest streaming week ever for an R&B album, and the third-largest of 2022 among all albums. Also in the top 10, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie captures his fourth top 10-charting effort, as Me vs. Myself debuts at No. 6. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Dec. 24, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Dec. 20. Plus, SZA debuts two tracks in the top 10. Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” tops the Billboard Hot 100 for a 10th week. With its latest frame at No. 1, Carey becomes the third artist – and first woman – with three songs that have reigned for double-digit weeks. Carey crowned the chart for 16 weeks with “One Sweet Day,” with Boyz II Men, in 1995-96, and for 14 weeks with “We Belong Together” in 2005. Boyz II Men and Drake are the only other acts to have achieved such a triumphant triple. Plus, SZA launches two songs in the Hot 100’s top 10 – “Kill Bill,” at No. 3, and “Nobody Gets Me,” at No. 10 – both from her new album, S.O.S, which launches as her first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. She ups her count to seven career Hot 100 top 10s and, with the former arrival, ties her highest rank, establishes a new top placement as a lead act and makes her highest debut. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Dec. 24) will update on Billboard.com Tuesday (Dec. 20). PoisonedIvy Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Love that for Solana. CTRL was massive with its longevity and seems like SOS will be too.
Literature Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Humongous. Easily the second biggest album of the year, with a very large gap between it and #3
Ger Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Gurl, you're fast, I was bout to post. Quote "SOS" achieves the biggest streaming week ever for an R&B album, and the third-largest of the year among all releases. 318k for Miss SZA, truly huge first week.
MusicLoverDude Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Two women in the Top 2 of Billboard 200
State of Grace. Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Fantastic Hope it serves great longevity after the holidays
gatito Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 deserved this album is amazing, it was worth the long wait!
paranormal girl Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I don't want anyone calling me anything but #1.
Thinking Of You Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I didn’t expect less! She’s definitely an artist that will define this decade. This also reminds me of when Scream debuted at the box office in the middle of the Christmas season. The marketing team thought that teenagers and young adults needed something to watch during the quiet Christmas season, and they put out the movie and it was a smash. Labels see the Christmas season as a bad time to release, but SZA saw the opportunity and ran with it
Ivan_brit Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 SZA debut Midnight already surpass 3 million

TalkThatRihanna Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 She’s an icon, legend and THE moment She literally only produces quality. And the fact that talent is winning on the charts and arts
bad guy Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Without physicals too And when I said she was the #1 R&B girl of this generation I got backlash on here
makeme Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Quote Further, as SOS generated 404.58 million official on-demand streams for its 23 songs, the set registers the biggest streaming week ever for an R&B album, the second-largest streaming week ever for an album by a female artist, and the third-largest streaming week of 2022 for any album. Amazing I am so proud of her
pride4jc1222 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Who had the second biggest streaming week: Drake or Harry?
bad guy Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 If this was released before or after the Xmas spam she’d have a #1 song and multiple Top 10 debuts I have faith Kill Bill will have legs like Bad Habit and eventually go #1.
