Food advice

So basically I want to lose weight. I've made my goal for 2023 to stop ordering food via food apps (takeaway) and cook all or most of my meals (also to save money:rip:). I realize that when I eat cooked food I don't really have a problem with stopping since I get the feeling of fullness relatively quickly, but when it comes to desserts (like cookies, biscuits or potato chips) I turn into a completely different person and cannot help myself to stop after a small serving.

If anyone here has went through a similar situation - do you have any advice? Should I completely cut off cakes/sweets/cookies etc and replace them with only fruits (which I eat from time to time) when I get the craving for something sweet?

Eat an apple or two a day. It's also cheaper.

Look at the amount of satured fats in your sweets, the general amount of calories etc. It's never wrong to actually read the package.

The more "stuff" is listed, especially additives likes flavour enhancers etc, the worse for you.

When it comes to cooking, eat fresh. Also less igrendients is better than more. Don't overseason it. Don't use garlic or onion powder, use fresh.

Something you can eat now and then, but not too often: chicken hearts. A heart is a muscle, so it doesn't have a lot of fat. It's lean.
