Hector Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 YTD SONG REVENUE Columbia notches the #1 and 2 songs of 2022 by revenue and three of the Top 6. Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow’s chart-topping (and aptly titled) “INDUSTRY BABY” has pulled in north of $4 million YTD, while the next four tracks are north of $3m, as Harry Styles’ “As It Was” edges Encanto’s “We Don’t Talk about Bruno” by $16k to claim the second slot. Bad Bunny lands three Top 50 entries, collectively earning $6.82m. https://m.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=334104&title=YTD-SONG-REVENUE The way that song continues smashing Running Up That Hill is probably 4x Platinum eligible by this point
Green Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Sunflower #14 in 2022 despite of being released in 2018 No wonder that song is 17x Platinum
BrokenMachine Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Dua snatching two entries Also Sam making it to the list despite releasing in September 22nd
Ger Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 The Industry Baby indeed, he wasn't joking. Also Jack's stellar verse did that. Mrs Kate Bush earning that money without moving a finger.
IDRAG4MJ Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 lil nas earning that from one song on the album is insane
Letemtalk Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 #12 Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill - no features, no co-writers She also appears to own her masters too. Quote Kate Bush owns the entire recording copyright to Running Up That Hill, as well as the Hounds Of Love album, and the rest of her biggest hits. https://www.musicbusinessworldwide.com/kate-bush-is-the-worlds-biggest-independent-artist-right-now-shes-owning-it/ She must be doing better than most or all of the people above her on the list. The real winner of 2022.
killer_rose Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 Kate taking all of the money for herself, probably earning more than any artist on the list. Queen!
