But it's funny how much hate I'm seeing for MFASR, I thought it was decently loved Whew I gave up on Bastille so long ago. Coconuts is super basic, kinda grew on me though. Hold My Hand is great idc idc! Rih wasting her official comeback on Lift Me Up was certainly a choice. || HOLY FV*K is so good ahhh, wish it made the main list. Yep Love Sux is very TDBT Although I'm not necessarily mad about it. Night Call is cute, got into his/their discography this year and all 3 albums are nearly on the same level I'd say. About Damn Time ayy The Astrid/Dagny collab was soooo underwhelming, and I couldn't get into Words at all. SFG is alright. Main Lists~ Treat Me yessss Chlöe's best song so far! Beg for You is a solid grower. Catch Me In the Air Oh wow 2 Die 4 is 2 low honestly. Sacrifice is a bop ofc. It Gets Dark + Hurricanes yuppp both are lovely. Haven't heard most of the albums yet but emails i can't send didn't impress me much, Midnights was great (as I expected from queen Taylor), TILT was half filler to me honestly, and then Hold the Girl slays at the end of the day. Yeah i had really HIGH expectation for Harry's album since As It Was is really good but wow, this is one of the case when artist way more interest with creating a good singles than a body of work i fear Love Sux is really gown on me recently since i already go my vinyl LMAO but thank lord she actually took advantage of the pop rock resurgence and gave it her all (i'm not going to take credit Travis Barker for it) 16 minutes ago, worldwide angel said: nnn this is already a strong list and you’re in the 80s - 70s range i can’t wait to see what you have in store for us Thank you bb I actually really love all of the main list but sometimes i suck with to rank them all nnn
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 29, 2022 Author Posted December 29, 2022 75. Fear Of The Dawn - Jack White (April 8, 2022) Jack White returns with solo album number four, and this is the classic hard rock energy that i love from him. This album is probably his most energetic record post The White Stripes. The first tracks sound more in the vein of his previous garage/blues rock records but the fourth song, "Hi-De-Ho", seems to be the most unusual track for Jack White to date since it's a collaboration with the rapper Q-Tip of the A Tribe Called Quest. But overall, this album is a really nice mix of experimentation and truly rocking and even catchy songs and he is proving again that he's still can do it. Top 3: What's the Trick?, The White Raven & Eosophobia SPOTIFY 74. WASTELAND - Brent Faiyaz (July 8, 2022) I’m really new to Brent Faiyaz’s music but i must admit this is such a strong album as an introduction to newer audience. It has great production, intense themes, and his vocals in most of the songs sounds passionate. It has solid songs list that might be long, but it feels well crafted. Also i'm surprsingly enjoy the skits in this album, cause it feels like i'm watching a movie without looking at my screen. Overall, he stayed steady through this tracklist and his vision was really well executed in my eyes. Top 3: ADDICTIONS (feat. Tre' Amani), GRAVITY (feat. Tyler, The Creator) & FYTB (feat. Joony) SPOTIFY 73. The Versions - Neneh Cherry (June 10, 2022) This album consists of reworked versions of Neneh Cherry's songs from her back catalogue and it's surprisingly really well made. I usually don't like some type of "tribute" albums but this time, every artists featuring in this album bring their own unique style to Neneh's classics that make me appreciate her as an artist even more. The way Neneh made a good album that consist of rework songs this year than her own daughter, Mabel, who made a full studio album. That's kinda a bit embarrasing if you ask me Top 3: Manchild (with Sia), Buddy X - Honey Dijon Remix & Sassy (with TYSON) SPOTIFY 72. FOREVER 1 - The 7th Album - Girls' Generation (August 5, 2022) SNSD is back releasing a new studio album this year to celebrate their 15th anniversary and it's probably their most cohesive album to date (not including their japanese discography). I feel like they know excatly what the type of songs they would recorded as a group and not just take whatever demos they received from A&R and i love that actually. Sooyoung & Tiffany duo also wrote "Villian" that can be use as aespa's next title track (especially with "Kwangya" line) and that nu-disco bop "Closer" really SH*TS all over their previous discography i fear Top 3: Closer, Paper Plane & Lucky Like That SPOTIFY 71. CRASH (Deluxe) - Charli XCX (March 25, 2022) Charli can easliy make the best mainstream pop songs with the flick on her fingers and this album proves her that. After years making unconventional pop songs that build her a solid fanbase, this album feels like victory lap to me. A collection of retro pop aesthetics with some of the playful hooks and lyrical vulnerability we've heard from her before but it still very fun and well made record. Also now i realize how good "New Shapes" is after months of trashing it a bit. I truly see her vision of this being a "sell-out" era and she did it perfectly Top 3: Constant Repeat, Lightning & New Shapes (feat. Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek) SPOTIFY

Dilemma - Apink (February 14, 2022) from the album HORN Even if the song isn't as quality as their other title tracks, but I always take their crumb once a year anyday SPOTIFY 74. Surprise - Chlöe (June 17, 2022) from the upcoming album Chlöe As much as i love Chlöe doing uptempo bops, but this sensual R&B really suit her so well. Also where are those twitter stans who always complaining about her doing more uptempo but not even buying or streaming this song that they begging Chlöe to do since DAY 1?? fake ass stans. ALL OF THEM!! SPOTIFY 73. Démons - Angèle & Damso (December 1, 2021) from the album Nonante-Cinq The way people would stanning this song if this in english It's just THAT good. Also Damso as featuring artist really elevate this song even higher than ever SPOTIFY 72. Western Wind - Carly Rae Jepsen (May 6, 2022) from the album The Loneliest Time I died when someone called this song "Put Your Records On" for white gay men The impact of Corinne Bailey Rae on the industry are unmatched SPOTIFY 71. Vicious - Sabrina Carpenter (July 1, 2022) from the album emails I can't send "You like a certain type of woman, who's smart but neglects intuition. When you're insecure, could be me, could be her, you just run to whoever is winning" is such a high quality drag like WOAH Sabina really ate and left no crumb! SPOTIFY

Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 70. KicK iii - Arca (December 1, 2021) When Arca opening the album with the line "oh sh*t", i know some serious sh*t about to go down The way i'm constantly getting punched from every side with these loud, abrasive, heavy beats while also being surprisingly melodic and catchy. Out of the 5 kick series, this is definitely one of my favorites for sure It’s also hard to say which of the tracks are highlights when this whole album is amazing from front to back. Top 3: Incendio, Señorita & Intimate Flesh SPOTIFY 69. Wet Leg - Wet Leg (April 8, 2022) Sometimes an overhyped indie band can be so annoying to witness but this time, i get by they're being overhype for a reason. For their debut studio album, Wet Lag sure lived up to the expectation especially with their debut single which is definitely the anthem for future romcom soundtrack "Chaise Longue". Most of the tracks are also very rock instrumental heavy at times which makes for an even more enjoyable listening. This record makes me really excited to see what this band does next. Hope sophomore slump won't hit them! Top 3: Chaise Longue, Ur Mum & Wet Dream SPOTIFY 68. Asha's Awakening - Raveena (February 11, 2022) This is one of my favorite music discoveries this year. The way this album blends contemporary R&B with Indian pop so well i'm almost speechless for a bit. Even i'm enjoying that long ass guided meditation in the last track of the album. No notes, 10s across the board. Top 3: Rush, Asha's Kiss & Secret (feat. Vince Staples) SPOTIFY 67. DICE - The 2nd Mini Album - ONEW (April 11, 2022) SHINee's solo members discography need to be studied for real, because not one of them serves bad album in the slightest. Kpop boy groups need to learn a thing or two from this kings. But anyway, with this second Korean EP, Onew gives a consistent record from the beginning to end. Even thought it's a bit monotonous in the first two tracks, but the album picked up when "On the way" started to play like WOAH- How is he can snatch the best demos for this album?? Overall, it's really enjoying experience for me and it's just to show that straight man can in fact make better music than gay man sometimes (Sorry KEY) Top 3: On the way, In the whale & 여우비 Yeowoobi SPOTIFY 66. Last Night In The Bittersweet - Paolo Nutini (July 1, 2022) There's something about men that have flat jawline that gives me going, i'm looking at you Paolo Nutini (and Mark Ronson) Horny post aside, I think that this album is cool, even if it's a bit too long to keep me engange at the end of the album but many great touching moments are enough to make it essential for this year's catalogue. I also find this to be an incredibly solid homage to late 70's soft rock that i enjoy Overall, it's a good album with a handful of tracks I will return to. Don't go into this expecting your life to be changed though lmao Top 3: Acid Eyes, Petrified In Love & Everywhere SPOTIFY
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 70. WHEN I MOVE - KARA (November 29, 2022) from the EP MOVE AGAIN I used to pray for the times like these and now KARA is back for their 15 anniversary + still making high quality bop. Hara would be proud in heaven SPOTIFY 69. STAR WALKIN' (League of Legends Worlds Anthem) - Lil Nas X (September 22, 2022) This literally just Sunflower 2.0 but it's still a banger. His next era is going to be huge again I fear SPOTIFY 68. Shut Down - BLACKPINK (September 16, 2022) from the album BORN PINK When I heard that "La Campanella" sample for the first time, I was GAGGED ngl. This is "We love her again" moment for TEDDY and the girls SPOTIFY 67. RUN2U - STAYC (February 21, 2022) from the EP YOUNG-LUV.COM This song is literally the definition of K-pop classic. It has that catchy, bright & fun record that people can identify with. Children were singing this song at their graduations, at weddings, at funerals SPOTIFY 66. All The Good Times - Angel Olsen (March 29, 2022) from the album Big Time I don't know how she manages to lacerate my heart with this song alone but damn, she really did THAT SPOTIFY

Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 31, 2022 Author Posted December 31, 2022 65. The Gods We Can Touch - AURORA (January 21, 2022) I had real high expectations for AURORA since both Infections of a Different Kind & A Different Kind of Human are my favorite albums of last decade, and this album delivered in all aspects. I didn't really like the singles but in the album's context they really seem to find their place and work so much better. She goes many directions here, has some more mainstream dance pop while also giving space to some more acoustic and nothing feels out of place. Overall, I loved this album so much more than I expected. Top 3: Exist For Love, Heathens & Cure For Me SPOTIFY 64. CAPRISONGS - FKA twigs (January 14, 2022) Not gonna lie This mixtape is refreshing fo FKA twigs. She’s always had an electronic style but this feels like she was having fun; but kept it ambitious to a point where it can still be taken seriously. Despite a majority of the track sounding more mainstream, it does a great job at still implementing the sounds and styles that she's known for, specifically her vocal performances. Most of the tracks seemed to have used a formula similar to that used on "holy terrain" but overall, she delivered an amazing mixtape that blends greatly more mainstream song structures and songs and her own unique touches that make it stand out from the rest. Top 3: ride the dragon, tears in the club (feat. the weeknd) & jealousy (feat. rema) SPOTIFY 63. Nonante-Cinq La Suite - Angèle (November 17, 2022) I don't quite understand why this album is so underrated. A lot of people always praising the album cover (both standard & deluxe version) for being amazing but somehow they never talk about the actual music This album is really solid and fun collection of dance pop with some contemporary R&B elements. It does feel like more of the same from her, but more of the same is still good for Angèle and that's not a shade. Top 3: Solo, Demons (with Damso) & Plus de sens SPOTIFY 62. NewJeans 1st EP 'New Jeans' - NewJeans (August 1, 2022) NewJeans debuted with an excellent mini album that show themselves to be the top group of their generation. Their image and their style of music feel very fresh and make them really noticable among the current oversaturated kpop groups, especially coming from top agency like HYBE. The few problems that i had about this is that this mini album feels too short (only 4 songs) & the controversy about the song "Cookie". No matter what the intentions of the korean songwriters and Min Heejin (the found mother of the group), the song is still veeeeeery weird to sing from a bunch of teenagers (one of them is still 14 YEARS OLD!!). The song is also SUPER mid too like- At least save for "Ditto" for this album and it will make 1000 times better. Top 3: Anything except Cookie SPOTIFY 61. Ants From Up There - Black Country, New Road (February 4, 2022) This is considered by many to be the album of the year, and I can see why. Every songs in this album are gorgeous, and I absolutely adore "Basketball Shoes" and "Good Will Hunting". This album also has stellar instrumentals and even though the vocals may not differ a whole lot between the tracks, but this album feels bittersweet like riding a bike alone in the morning or looking out the window and thinking about the memories you made. It's a great album and i definitely will listen to it again tommorow. Top 3: Chaos Space Marine, Good Will Hunting & Basketball Shoes SPOTIFY
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 31, 2022 Author Posted December 31, 2022 65. Baby - Charli XCX (March 1, 2022) from the album CRASH The way Charli graduated from Janet Jackson's music school and went straight making this bop I just know she had multiple straight As on her report card SPOTIFY 64. Evergreen (You Didn't Deserve Me At All) - Omar Apollo (October 4, 2022) from the album Ivory I truly believe the reason this song went HUGE viral because most people thought this song was sung by Frank Ocean, I know I did I stand by this conspiracy! SPOTIFY 63. Maybe You’re The Problem - Ava Max (April 28, 2022) from the album upcoming album Diamonds & Dancefloors I know some poeple don't like this but my god this is such an unexpected smash especially on Mr. Blue_Shirt's Hot 100 This was just so good I love the synths and 80s elements and it is a greatly written pop banger. Deserves that Sweet But Psycho-type of chart success SPOTIFY 62. Year of Love - Jenny Hval (January 18, 2022) from the album Classic Objects That church organ is the reason why you should listen to this song. What a triumph! SPOTIFY 61. Moscow Mule - Bad Bunny (May 6, 2022) from the album Un Verano Sin Ti Just like Tove Lo's 2 Die 4, summer 2022 was never been the same ever since Moscow Mule (and the whole Un Verano Sin Ti album) was released. The only negative aspect about this is that Bad Bunny wasn't fully nude on the music video like what a clickbat! SPOTIFY
