'Surrender' sounds much more confident, emotional, wholehearted, personal and thoughtful. It feels like she finds her home on this, showing much more personality here and strong songwriting. The way she mixes genres and moods is amazing and keeps album alive through its lenght. highlights: Anywhere With You, Shatter, Overdrive, Be Cool, Symphony Quote 16 Paolo Nutini | Last Night In The Bittersweet "I'm always wondering what it would be like to die?" Even though the 8-years wait for this album was nowhere painful as wait for 'Masochism', he really secured the warm place in my heart with 'Caustic Love', so I was pretty excited about this release. And whew, he.. served. Fantastically crafted album, probably his best one yet - fullfilled with slowburning charm, full of very intimate and sweet, almost home-like sounds - it feels painful at times, but it always endes like a really calming experience. Gorgeous vocal performances shaped with a variety of psychedelic rock, soul, folk, indie sounds. highlights: Everywhere, Through The Echoes, Heart Filled Up, Shine A Light, Julianne T O P 1 5 0 S I N G L E S Quote 39 Sky Ferreira | Don't Forget "Little troubled girl, you see, burnin' down your house of certainty" I...honestly doesn't even want to talk about this marvelous song, this *****, label issues, live performances, the video. RIP to Masochism. Quote 38 Taylor Swift | Message in a Bottle (Taylor's Version) "You're so far away and I'm down" Welp, this is so far away from her recent songwriting, but if you can accept this was written more than 10 years ago, this still sounds so fresh, fun, catchy - pretty much pure pop at its best. Really charming and incredible infectious song. Quote 37 Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton | I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version) "I bet you think about me in your house with your organic shoes and your million-dollar couch" The way she kicks some asses here The way you hardly can tell if it was written in 2012 or 2021 Idk, this is such a powerful country jam, and one of her best country songs overall tbh. Quote 36 Carly Rae Jepsen | Beach House "Boys around the world, I want to believe that when you chase a girl it's not just hunting season" I feel like someone gonna drag me for this - but this track is so infectiously earwormy, it's so fun and camp, that I just can't escape from it this summer! I really love chicky lyrics and overall summery vibe of this. Idk how, but they clearly can create some magic together - I never got into Hayley's solo music, but this is pure fire! It just sounds so good and so different from their previous staff - more mature, still angry, nostalgic, more rocky, more drummy and etc! Stunning track. And red hair's comeback Quote 34 Paolo Nutini | Acid Eyes "Those shadows left me shaking in the hollow hour as my memories were melting in the sun" One of the best if not the best love song of the year. Just imagine if it'd feature HAIM as he originally wanted - Quote 33 Noah Cyrus | I Burned LA Down "You left a hole in my chest when you left" This is phenomenally great - a definition of a grower not a shower - the way it starts as a soaring country ballad and builds into a beautiful a bit of angry climax is absolutely beautiful. The way she translates her pain through her voice is amazing. Quote 32 Billie Eilish | TV "The internet's gone wild watching movie stars on trial While they're overturning Roe v.
