Foxes and Florence songs were cute but I prefer others on the album

I almost thought about including Strangers in my chart
No Hay Ley was a bop

Break My Soul + King + Hold My Hand :heart2:

Hatchie always delivers.

I agree with you on BMS!

Posted

yeah GTWA is probably my least favorite single from album, but she truly served

Hold My Hand :-* welp, not Shallow, but cute too

Break My Soul :katie2:

GTWA and Break My Soul are slays, completely agree about BMS it grew on me soo much even if it's a little basic. King was an underwhelming lead but the rest of the album was better!

Not Hold My Hand...

Posted

yessss king E!!! :foxaylove:

Please I thought #43-41 were actually all Mitski :skull: Growing On Me is a nice bop mmm but being Carly Rae Jepsen-y should be a BONUS. boy :sats: Wasn't expecting that big of a bop from them after the last album. Kiii at Lana being here already, yeah that song is just kinda there. Giving the World Away :smitten: Hold My Hand :date: Glad to see someone else appreciating it. BREAK MY SOUL great bop absolutely. Ready to see what else is on the way! Especially with your current avi :jonny2:

Posted

Not Lana already on the list :deadbanana4:

Florence's Free & King, Growing On Me, Giving the World Away & Mitski's 123 punch :clap3: Break My Soul is excellent and Hold my Hand.... well can't wait for the top 35

I would disagree that GTWA is the weakest single, although it feels a liittle like an interlude, I still think it's great.  I'd say Quicksand is the weakest.  Good song, but it's just a Stay With Me 2.0.

Hold My Hand.... was an interesting closer for TCB, I stayed to see her perform it then dipped during the applause.

I agree with your comment on BMS, I liked it, but on the album, it hit way way harder.   Still not my fave on the album but good single choice.

Giving the World Away :jonny5:disagree about it being the weakest single but all of them have been very strong so it's a bit difficult to say :pancake:

break my soul & hold my hand, both absolute SMASHERS:alexz:

Of course, Strangers is my favorite from this list (the best single of the album too). I also liked that lizzy song but I never really clicked with her album!

Giving The World Away is not the weakest single (123456789)

I'll pretend that I didn't see that #37 :fan: BMS does sound better in the album (but also not even in my top 5 for renaissance :fan:)

We demand Hatchie #1 everywhere

Giving the world Away indeed the weakest single, but still amazing

As the pictures won't be available on this terrible website, here is the rest of the list until the top 10 + the write-ups.

35. Tove Lo - How Long

Definitely quite a throwback for me to her previous eras, an absolute masterpiece!

34. Mabel - Overthinking (feat. some random rapper)

While I am also part of the people who usually shade her for being a complete sellout, I actually liked her latest stuff. This does give me a bit of a throwback to her earlier music. It's quite underrated.

33. winter - Atonement (feat. Hatchie)

Hatchie can't stop slaying, huh?

32. Taylor Swift - Lavender Haze

I think this is a cute choice as a single, definitely one of the better songs on Midnights

31. Taylor Swift - Anti-Hero

While I sometimes feel it's overplayed, in a way, it also feels like a breath of fresh air when it comes on the radio compared to the usual ****. I am just glad she managed to release a decent pop lead single (cardigan remains her best lead tho x)

30. Tove Lo - Grapefruit

Poor queen :'( absolutely love this song though, I kinda relate to it in a way too?

29. Lucius - Next to Normal

One of the best songs from their latest album, an absolute bop :jonny5:

28. Ellie Goulding - Easy Lover (feat. Big Sean)

Yasss she's back slaying

27. Hatchie - Nosedive

Queen bringing back one genre at a time with every new song. Definitely a grower :jonny5:

26. Kelly Clarkson - Happier Than Ever

Your faves wish their covers slayed this hard

25. Rina Sawayama - Catch Me In The Air (Breathless)

Can we please stop on the masterpieces Rina gave us this year? :thing:

24. Florence + The Machine - My Love

One of the best songs from Dance Fever, such a big song and a bop :jonny:

23. Mitski - Love Me More

I definitely think this is the best song on Laurel Hell. Queen :'(

22. Adele - I Drink Wine

Yes, 30 grew on me, and yes, this is amazing.

21. Maggie Rogers - That's Where I Am

She slayed so hard this year, I adore this.

20. Maggie Rogers - Horses

And here she is again! :jonny5:

19. Lykke Li - No Hotel

This should have been longer cause girl :'( She was so underrated this year

18. Maren Morris - Circles Around This Town

I love how personal this is to her. Great comeback!

17. Hatchie - The Rhythm

:katie2:

16. Tove Lo - 2 Die 4

Slay us Romanian queen!

15. MUNA - What I Want

How are they so good at both the music and the lyrics. A gay anthem! :jonny5:

14. Rina Sawayama - Frankenstein

The Gaga jumped out!

13. Foxes - Body Suit

Absolutely adore this slower moment on The Kick. :jonny4:

12. Ethel Cain - American Teenager

She went in the studio and said 'let me write a classic'

11. Rina Sawayama - Hold The Girl

That last minute or so of this *chef's kiss*
