You "pointed that out" by simultaneously blaming closures on theft from the same group of people in poverty. If you truly cared for the poor like you pretend to, you'd realize the problem are the mega wealthy CEOs, not theft that takes off a whopping 1% of revenue. They have the means to support their stores. Choosing to shut them down due to theft is the equivalent of a privileged kid getting mad and taking all of his toys home. Gurl, if you think he is referring to people stealing some bananas, grapes or a kid stealing a candy bar, he isn't. He is talking about organized big theft rings that affect all retail. I used to work as a manager in VS, Pottery Barn and Gap. if you didn't have someone parked next to the front table. It was empty in literally 5 minutes. No one cares about someone walking in and talking one item. That isn't where most of the store loss is. It's mostly internal or big theft rings. By the way I hate the CEO of all those companies too. Especially working as a manager. They are terrible people who expect too much and work their people to levels to the point where they hate the company they work for. Also I don't know why people are promoting to go ahead and steal. Why would anyone want to damage their future for some crappy Walmart sh_t? At least the big theft rings are making millions of dollars off their thefts. The price of damaging their future is worth it.
helikesitheymikey Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Good. F walmart and those fat waltons.
Smarticle Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Lemme steal something before they close down
Bosque Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 People can literally walk into any store and casually walk out in broad daylight with all their goods, and security guards aren’t even allowed to touch them or they’ll get sued. not people telling Walmart to lower their prices though they literally make barely any profit after already squeezing every penny that they can out of their suppliers and employees
Danny789 Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Maybe they should ask those politicians they fund to pass policy that will help people not have to steal.

If you can't get work now imagine trying to look for a job with a criminal record. Maybe you can tell the person you are interviewing with that you only did it because you couldn't afford it and you took the advice of some person that absolutely does not care about you on ATRL. If you can't afford basic necessities there are plenty of places that give them out for free.

There is nothing wrong with stealing from big corporations like that especially if you're struggling to get by and a banana costs like $1 now lmao. This CEO and the rest of them are charging more, hoarding the wealth, and not increasing wages. It's only fair. This ******* can cry more. Their security is advanced as hell. Tread carefully.
CottageHore Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Oh PLEASE. Your corporation makes $13 billion in net profits a year, you’re not ******* closing. We could only DREAM. If this is true, then I’m gonna start shoplifting from WalMart as a part-time job.

Huh? Their net profits for 2021 were nearly $14 billion and even after putting back into the company for expansion and upgrades (which they rarely do anyway), they come out with insane profit. They’re fine.
Beyondslay Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Ohhhh nooooo that poor billion dollar company.

So they’re using a bogus “thefts!” narrative to play it off Retail is generally a low margin business (i.e. revenue - cost), but it’s not like they’re unprofitable. So a $5B total earnings in a 3 month period…
spree Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 I shop at Walmart cuz it's inexpensive and I can get eggs and bags of cheese and Jack's Pizza and water for cheap. I go to Publix for steaks and Pubsubs and they've got a good fruit selection, much better than Walmart's. So I do both, but I buy bulk at Walmart. But they do cater to the low income crowd, so it's no wonder that crowd they attract are the ones stealing. It's just part of the territory, it's part of the brand. Walmart literally means = poor people.

imabadkid Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 I haven't shopped at a Walmart in years. I stick to Target.

JBJT2786 Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Maybe focus on your employees wellbeing (like the people who got shot a week ago) than the 1% theft...
Sesame Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Wait, let's all just start stealing from the store. They can't stop all of us.
Carcass Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 literally was asked to see my receipt yesterday for 5 gallon bottles of drinking water like girl, get a hobby, cause this aint it. i paid my $5 for my water, go on. literally was the only thing i got and she could see i had a receipt as i was walking to the door. i didn't give it to her regardless... because the point is stupid. maybe focus on lowering prices so they're affordable? have you thought that maybe those who are stealing might have enough money to buy something if it was cheaper? maybe that might help
MadonnasBoyfriend Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 This makes me feel weird since I only shop at Walmart but never steal from them... Like what am I supposed to do differently exactly?
