NOW Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Born to Die still selling like hot cakes, UV repress sold out, NFR! still doing huge numbers, Honeymoon & LFL repeaking on streaming, Tunnel stable and about to get another spike once the nude covers ship out, SYTH stabilizing, 2 songs on the Hot 100, sold out concerts all over the world...I don't think her brand has been as strong as it is right now at this moment. And all the while she's chilling out with her family and friends. I love it. 7

This year’s 78-minute follow-up, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, achieves what the previous album set out to do in earnest, melding stark folk songs, gloomy pop tunes, skeletal trap production, dour Disney energy, and deep California lore as it stages an unsubtly religious jettisoning of the pettiest concerns, the better to reinforce the artist’s bonds with faith and family. SPIN: https://www.spin.com/2023/06/the-best-albums-of-2023-so-far/ The Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/culture/2023/jun/06/the-best-albums-of-2023-so-far Quote Did You Know … rivals Norman ******* Rockwell for making Del Rey’s claim to the Great American Songbook, yet it’s also one of her most formally inventive records. Elegant, moving future classics such as Sweet and Kintsugi sit next to deep familial interrogations that find Del Rey reckoning with her lineage as a daughter – and as a musician. She both considers the construction of her myth – addressing the rumours of “Some big man behind the scenes / Sewing Frankenstein black dreams into my song” early in her career – and resamples several of her own songs, as if to say: if critics can use her own oft-contested narrative as raw material to reshape as they will, why can’t she? Best of all is the haunted, defiant A&W, which writhes from the shadows into bitchy jump-rope rap, toying with perceptions of older women and imperfect victims, and revelling in ambiguity. NOW Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Quote The replacement of the old “This Is Lana Del Rey” playlist has caused negative streaming updates for many songs that were on the old playlist. Some of the songs that used to be on the top of the playlist declined up to 30K daily streams and the rest had a smaller decrease https://twitter.com/chartlana/status/1669072800605192196? Btw her team needs to do better whenever they update her catalog. The playlist got a much-needed mix of trending songs added but they randomly put her Summertime cover at the top and her cover image got removed, and I think there are two different This is LDR playlists now? That's two mistakes made within a week, and just on Spotify.

Yeah just googled it, and it definitely is the same cover as the 2014 Urban outfitters exclusive, and if I remember correctly the sentiments were the same back then too.
