It just makes Born to Die even sadder when you realize this is what she went through as a teen and people dogpiled on her for seemingly glamorizing death/abuse, being submissive, and being an industry plant. So f*cked up.

I understand why she wanted to retire right after the first album came out, it almost doesn't seem worth all the trouble to share her story. But thankfully she never stopped because it took a very long time for most people to finally get it and it resulted in masterpiece after freaking masterpiece. We're stanning forever.

It's been two weeks since album release and I was today years old when I realized that in Paris, Texas she names cities that are more well known for being european (Paris, Florence, Venice) but then she quickly adds the american state they're from right after ugh HER MIND it's too goddamn powerful
