Not surprised Paris is streaming the way it is, it's a masterpiece

I really wish the Taco Truck part was longer, it's such a fun and catchy melody

My green vinyl arrived today, and I snagged a copy of the Target exclusive CD on my lunch break. Doing my part as a US Body Electrician.

The fact that we’ve had to fight to the death to get up to 82 and absolute trash like the new Boyfad album starts out at a 99. :lmao:

**** Phoebe Bridgers.

But YAY to her 2nd most acclaimed album after NFR. Hopefully we can stay here for a while…

Now THATS an artist that is overhyped and overrated af. Phoebe's lyrics are just wtf and not in a good way.

Apparently everything she touches is rated extremely high tho so good on them for buying her so much exposure

Yeah there's just a level of sophistication and craft and genuine daringness that you really don't get with other mainstream artists these days. I think the NYT Zoladz review was spot on in saying that it's genuinely intriguing to hear what she has to say knowing it may annoy some people, which feels so refreshing in today's day and age.

Exactly, although I think she should "annoy" even more. Let it all out, Lana. :alexz2:

The main adjective I can conjure after listening to this is sublime. It is just so gorgeous and dense, like a multi-course meal. It's hard to describe because it's not one thing. It's challenging, familiar, serene and chilling all at once. It will easily finish as one of my favorite albums ever.

I grabbed the Target CD yesterday, my standard vinyl came in today, and I have the standard CD, white vinyl, and picture disc coming tonight, too. The rest of my vinyl collection is apparently coming throughout the week! :heart2:

grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father while he's deep-sea fishing is simply THAT song and joins the Cruel World, The Blackest Day, Mariners Apartment Complex in the pantheon of Lana's greatest songs of all time I fear. Anyone who thinks otherwise is certified deaf!

She could had at least repeated the hook several times before transitioning to the VB remix, but no she sings the chorus one time  and one time only! :swan: I agree that TACO could had been a full song -like, it’s so much better than FlopPers despite being  only a minute and half

She deserves all the praise. She's saying **** on this album. From toxicity in her family to rape and how she's being seen by the public or even some of her closest ones.

Especially the topic of rape is shocking.

This! This album is so brave, raw and unfiltered and that’s why it’s gonna take awhile for some people to come around. You don’t get many “pop” artist singing about theses topics like the way she does it.

Both NFR! and this album deserved +90. COCC and BB are 85 for me. LFL and HM scores are fine. UV and BTD deserved +80 for sure.

Say it louder, please. :jonny5: One of her best songs, I fear.

I literally gasped when I realized she was talking about attempting suicide on Fingertips.... the parallels to her uncle... It's just SO raw. :weeps:
