I only really skip the pastor one. I think Jon Batiste's interlude is amazing and I hope she explores that sound in the future  I also hope she included it in the CN vid, or even just a snippet

Anyway… if y’all don’t like the pastor interlude, there’s this thing I tried, it’s actually really helpful- it’s called deleting the interlude off your phone and pretending it doesn’t exist and then shutting tf up about it. Go ahead and try it, babes!!

In one of the instagram videos this week, she said there are some things she sings about on the album that would influence a person to behave in certain ways, heavily implying she’s experienced trauma and that’s why she’s attracted to men who aren’t good for her and why her art toes the line of glamorizing violence. She specifically mentioned that these things are mumbled or muffled on the album (can’t remember her exact wording), so I think the line about rape on A&W is more important than some fans realize. Now whether that happened earlier in life or more recently (or worse… multiple times)… it’s impossible to know (assuming she has been assaulted). 
 

A&W through Fingertips is such a heavy run.
