I think NFR is my least played Lana album. Hope is one of my fav Lana songs ever, but there's too many skips on that record for me.

the way you served taste AND lack of taste at the same time, astonishing

It's that time of the month where we rank Lana's discography, as if NFR being at #1 and Last for Lana are debatable opinions.

it's the wind / air flowing sound effect in the intro that you can hear in a tunnel doing all the wonders for me

In before it was Jack Antonoff farting.

Enough time has passed and I can confidently say now that DYKTTATUOB ( :rip: ) is NFR level quality.

When that final chorus opens up and she drives the metaphor of the tunnel home :jonny5: ugh the quality

My ranking:

1. Ultraviolence

2. NFR

3. Honeymoon

4. Blue Banisters

5. Born to Die

6. COTCC

7. Lust for Life

8. Paradise

Probably not, since BOZ said everything on this album was created from late 2021 to this year, no leftovers. @BlackoutZone do you think the song (which seems like it was planned for a title track at one point) is that good that it deserves to be released someday?

I think it's fairly obvious based on her recent listening habits as well as sonic growth that this album will reference the late 60s into early 70s. Obviously Harry Nilsson is a big influence but I can see her also pulling a lot from Lou Reed, Roy Harper, Big Star and maybe some psychedelic folk as well? Perhaps some King Krule inspiration? I just have such a clear soundscape in my head that I'm thinking this record will capture and hope it does

Are they ever not

Time for another fact about the upcoming album tho - FJM is SnowOnTheBeach'd on their song, I guess since he doesn't have any writing credit they just "exchanged" their vocals for each other songs :dies: They sound so beautiful together though!

i feel like this will sound like Daddy's Home - St Vincent judging by the album aesthetics and the title track

That would make a lot of sense. Omg I never noticed how similar elements of the cover arts are!

So kinda Brooklyn Baby'd.

I don't mind that. Never really explored his music.

I kind of live for this, I love when we get male background vocals like at the end of Brooklyn Baby
