"It's too long!" will NEVER be a valid criticism :rip: music journalism is terrible like

Btw this album is meant to be listened from start to finish every time. We need to do something about our diminishing attention span for our own sake...

Finally we said it.

Lana albums have always been 6x-7x minutes every single one except Cocc which only has 11 tracks :rip:

It feels especially puzzling because most reviews (fan/critic) seem to note how the middle and second halves of the album are better, not worse.

(Except those poor Kintsugi/Fingertips haters - both of those songs literally go by so fast to me especially Kintsugi which actually has 2 choruses in it structure wise...)

Don't think most people or really anyone doesn't like the interlude in itself - it's just literally the cheapest, weirdest transition sonically speaking between interlude and song. So that kinda kills the vibe. It's literally like someone did a fade transition between tracks in Windows Movie Maker 1.0

I actually don’t mind it one bit. 😅 I’m all for her doing unorthodox things with her music.

This album changed the way I saw the world and everything around. Very beautiful and introspective, very sad but also very powerful. Truly a one-of-a-kind album from a one-of-a-kind. Not a single contemporary artist is touching her.

it's trew, it's trew.

Lana "Lanita" Del Rey is a life changing experience WBK :clap3:

Yeah this album is changing my life too. She really puts **** into perspective.

At least it looks good in the US and UK.  The results in the US could have still been better. Peppers is doing better than I thought it would. They should consider doing something with it

Also Paris, Texas is doing better than you'd expect since it's placed on the second half of the record.

Overall, the album is doing decent in the UK, US and Canada. Unsurpsingly, it's not doing great in any other bigger music market.

Hi, this is my first post in ages. Love the album. Does Taco Truck sample the melody of 13 Beaches?

I think the album is doing around 17M, which is good since NFR did 15.5M, but I think it had the potential to do more.

I think NFR benefitted a lot from Doin Time picking up among the gp right before the drop of the album. Her team should have pushed a trojan horse to attract the gp to the album.

A&W did a great job, they should have kept the momentum going with that song. Althought maybe it is way too long and lyrically complex to become a hit. Peppers or even Paris, Texas could have done the job.

The interludes back to back in the first half of the song didn't help either.

But anyway! It did good and hopefully it is stable considering how good the reception is

Pretty good for the girl that has been trying too hard with one pretty song. :jonnycat:

Finally listening to the album, this is her first album since Honeymoon where I haven't listened to the leaks or at least listened to it on the day of release and so far it's amazing :jonny6:

Sweet and Kintsugi sound like something out of old fairytales :weeps:
