Blue Banisters is far superior to Honeymoon in every single aspect: vocally, melodically and lyrically.

When did the Honeymoon overrating started?

Posted

Is this a joke?  In what world Bland Bannisters is better than Honeymoon??! The transition between Freak and Art Deco is better than anything on BB :deadbanana2:

Honeymoon is anyhting but overrated, it is quite literally the opposite. :deadbanana2:

Us honeymoonsters have been praying and begging for it to get some attention for years.

Terrance Loves You, The Blackest Day, Honeymoon, Salvatore, Freak, Art Deco, etc are all top tier Lana songs.

I think some of you are truly trying to convince yourself that you prefer COCC and BB to her other work. Even she knows those projects are less realized

COCC and BB were released when the world was tearing apart.

Honeyfiller is her second worst album and stats agree.

Pls, for the love of God and Baby Jesus, no discussions between Lana stans which album is better than the other.

Leave that messiness for Analboards or the Base

Idk I already see some sense in the word bombastic on Tunnel outro. Compare this to Jack's work on COCC, like any song.. I relistened to the album last night with the recent excitement about new material hoping to rediscover something, but genuinely not a single song could grab my attention. Even if there are some nice melodic moments (Wild At Heart chorus, COCC outro) the production that backs them up is so clumsy. Tulsa had great potential too, but the vocals sound straight up off key, it's jarring. Will never get that album truly. I think Honeymoon showed that all-Rick album was never a perfect idea everyone dreamt of (LFL further confirmed). But it's still better than COCC or BB.

I never heard about there being any COCC outtake so I don't think she lied. But Lana definitely has a habit of starting new album before the previous one is even out, that's why sometimes it's hard to pinpoint what belongs where just by date. Not many people know this probably, but even the infamous long Rick Nowels demo of Lust for Life was recorded before Honeymoon was released :skull:

This is actually great information about the chonology, thank you for that.

Does that surprise me? Not really, I still remember when BTD dropped one of the label executives gave a short interview about the instant success the album had and accussations that she's not writing her own stuff by saying something like "She's the real deal. She has three other albums ready to go if she wanted to"... She was always working fast and waaay in advance

I still remember those days when now forgotten songs like Damn You and Hollywood's Dead leaked and how they became so beloved among the stans from waaay back.  So many believed back then that they would get released in a new album.

The fact that the next album must be written or in the process. She lives for this.

Wtf is wrong with you ? What did I say thats wrong? I am visiting here to read posts and discussions about the new single that I love so I would like the threads to be more active. Whats wrong with wanting the single and album thread to be more active. Some of you are so unbearable and would get up in arms over stupid things.

COCC and BB are not Bad but it's  lana's worst albums .

Everyone has different favorite Lana albums, time to get over it and stop crying

COCC and BB are good but there are def a few songs (fillers) could be taken out, like Breaking Up Slowly, For Free, Cherry Blossom, Living Legend, Beautiful, etc. The issue with these 2 albums compared to NFR is that they have fillers but NFR doesnt.

The song sucked. She killed her hype. Let Me Love You Like A Woman teas. Watercolor Eyes was the same way too. There were so much hype on here and on social media. Only for it to completely dissipate as soon as the song came out :rip:

The meltdown :deadbanana4:

The only hate i can tolerate is for L4L. Summer Bummer still gives me a jumpscare when i hear it

I think for me, and for me only, it goes like this currently:

Lust For Life > Born To Die > Norman F Rockwell > Honeymoon > Blue Banisters > Ultraviolence > Chemtrails Over The Country Club

But all of those albums are amazing, her discography is immaculate

Posted

For me it's:

1. NFR

2. Lust For Life (even tho there are some fillers, there are so many high highs on the album: Get Free, Tmr Nevet Came, Cherry, Heroin, Love, etc.)

3. BTD = UV = Honeymoon

4. Paradise = COCC = Blue Banisters

But they are all great. She has no bad album. What a discography.

Why? Would anybody call these 2 songs fillers if we didn't have them for years? I don't think so.

Ocean Blvd on Spotify Charts:

Day 1: #111 — 1,355,631
Day 2: #55 — 2,008,742
Day 3: #100 — 1,605,100

Day 4: #167 — 1,161,301

It's outperforming everything she's released recently, even NFR! (song) so far

I think NFR is my least played Lana album. Hope is one of my fav Lana songs ever, but there's too many skips on that record for me.

Omg same. I don't hate LFL, but to me it just doesn't sound cohesive at all and I find some songs like Summer Bummer, Groupie Love and In My Feelings kind of annoying.

I'm trying not to overplay this song since we have to wait for 3 more months before we hear the album.
