GoatGly Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Meanwhile Tik Tok artists are gonna have to find a new career field when their music goes under after the US bans that stupid app. Lana will keep winning I fear

Blue Jeans Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 This is Lana’s most complex record yet combining elements from all her previous albums
EdgeofTeeth Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Not Variety being the only publication with ears
ontherocks Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 It's always the same since BTD. If one album gets good reviews in the US, it's gonna get dragged in the UK or the other way round. Idk why it is that way

There are so many people, not just musicians, whose whole identity is tied to TikTok and other social platforms on an unhealthy level. OT: Pass me my vape
bluevelvetcrowbar Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Not that it hasn't already been said, but sometimes I feel some critics are purposefully obtuse when it comes to her music because they're still stuck in that 2012 mindset, it's just now she has too much of a reputation for them to undervalue her like they did with BTD, so they low-ball her and act passive aggressive about it ddd Just now, ontherocks said: It's always the same since BTD. Like the UK reviews were usually lower compared to the US ones

COCC reviews were better in the UK than in the US which is strange enough Edited March 24, 2023 by ontherocks

Perfect score, sums up everything we love about her and exposed the haters. 1 minute ago, GentleDance said: my thoughts exactly, that's why I hate it It's cute, but probably my least fave of the last 3 tracks because it feels the least inspired.

robattack332 Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Oooo the spice on the back half of the album. I'm feeling it. Would love her to explore more in this direction. She already has, to a degree, created her own modern psychedelia in past songs that should could really cement as her own if she explored it more. Also, just when I start to forget that VB is her best song, she remixes it and puts it on the album outro as a slap in the face to wake me back up. Queen ****.
NOW Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Streaming services should introduce a "Trigger Warning" tag along with the Explicit one, starting with Fingertips. I still cannot fully wrap my mind around everything she said in that one...the way she poured more into that single song than some artists do their entire career
