You could skip through many albums from different genres and the songs would sound similar because artists tend to stick to one genre/musical style. Can the basement that Twitter is run out of just collapse already? Or whatever Halsey said.

DevinWylde Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 insane that this album made me revisit COTCC and BB and now I like those way more than I used to the way she made a patchwork album of her last few eras and recontextualized their sonic palette for me is so...

Amethyst Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Variety just called Ocean Blvd her best album... there isn't a score to the review but it reads like a 90-100 to me...
alejandreaux Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 wow. this was the first album of hers i was straight up mesmerized by through and through on the first listen. every other album of hers needed some span of time to grow on me but this one just knocked me on my ass first try i cant believe this is coming in with anything less than an 8/10 on these reviews. am i crazy? if i didnt see the reviews before listening i would’ve assumed it was right up there with NFR for acclaim or even higher, like it’s so thoroughly brilliant and strange and poetic??? Kitsungi and Fingertips are some of the ultimate highlights of her songwriting abilities. even the interludes held my attention and helped maintain an eerie tone overall (even though some of them went on for too long). i’ll stop rambling but it’s easily a 9/10 for me
Ice Cream Skies Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Another 3/5, this time from the Telegraph, who calls it "sprawling" and "self-indulgent". These critics can ******* eat me out. Dumb ******* *****. At least Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and AllMusic have ears. https://12ft.io/proxy?&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.telegraph.co.uk%2Fmusic%2Fwhat-to-listen-to%2Fdepeche-mode-honour-dead-lana-del-rey-self-indulgent-weeks
