Margaret sounds like a lost Evermore song :jonnycat:

No wonder it’s a 10

Candy Necklace is so sexy :WAP:

The Pitchfork reviewers were right for once :WAP: Perhaps the basement doesn't need to collapse after all!

its a really good review though, i really enjoyed reading it!

When you get it you get it, when you don't you don't, when you know you know. - Paris, Texas.

I genuinely like how eerie and creepy the Judah Smith Interlude is. :lmao: It actually works well between A&W and Candy Necklace.

The Jon Batiste Interlude irks me a little, though. I don't like the jumpscare.

The way every song is kinda excellent….. :jonnycat:

Why does Kintsugi sounds like SOTY? :jonny2:

Lana-san is an Empress. :jonny5:

Kintsugi is her Joanna Newsom/Stevie Nicks serve. :jonny5:

Jon Batiste Interlude just sultrily/flawlessly continuing the magic of Candy Necklace :jonny3:

The way I pick a top 3 then hit shuffle and it changes

like how does a song as excellent as the grants not make it into the top ranking :jonny3:

Paris, Texas is so grandiose

@Tusk you better check out the SOTY (and The Grants ROTY).

We need a few stellar reviews. :jonny5: This doesn't deserve to be in the 70s on Metacritic. :'(  I hate Slant and Spin so much.

THIS is what makes me want to keep the interlude but I can’t waste my time listening to Interludes I need Candy Necklace ASAP.

Still not my cup of tea but had more songs I liked this time around compared to her last two

I listened to A&W and liked it, how does the rest of the album compare to that?

Lana’s music is hit and miss for me. I love some albums (BTD, UV, LFL, NFR) but some like (COTCC, BB) are just ugly noise. I want to give this a chance but I always do best with Lana’s music when I know what to expect going in.

There’s something so distinct about this album unlike her other records. A UV-Honeymoon tea!

Her insta story oh she was waiting for that pitchfork review to drop

Posted

the entire first verse of grandfather might be her peak as a songwriter so far

If you get Honeymoon, her best album, you’ll get this too!

I actually like Honeymoon so I think I’ll give it a shot, thank you!

Will it dropped to the 70’s with the new reviews? :dancehall:

This album for me is the sound of LFL (the folk, the ballads, the trap songs, the features) BUT with the songwriting quality of BB/NFR. The first 2/3 of the songs are more on the slow side but the last few tracks are upbeat and I think the ballads on this album are her strongest!
