Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'

Will the baby be alright?

Will I have one of mine?

Can I handle it even if I do?

It's said that my mind

It's not fit, or so they said, to carry a child

Her saddest lyrics to date. I'll never recover from this

I feel like the only changes I would have made would be to shorten the interludes, take out the FJM song (I like it but it doesn't fit), and end with a full version of Taco Truck.

For real

No other contemporary female songwriter comes close to her. Her mind is unique.

OH MY GOD

I’m 1 minute into Grandfather and :jonny6: her best song possibly? Is OTTR shaking?

I can confirm: her best song.

it's trew, it's trew.

people are just afraid to admit it but this album is very consistent with BB.

I’ll never support the disrespect BB gets :fish2: Oceans is its mature grown sister but wouldn’t exist without its predecessor

There's something poetic and happy about Paris, Texas coming right after Fingertips. In Fingertips she sings about how she was sent away and in Paris, Texas she finally claims California as her home, even after singing about how she would probably leave in LMLYLAW and also in Arcadia she sang about feeling like she didn't belong in California because she was not native. I'm glad that she finally found a place to call home, after all.

I really don’t know what’s going on with her since NFR. Like she hit the peak of her powers and now everything is mental illness.

she’s healing ❤️🩹

I don’t know if I just love Venice ***** but I don’t mind the album ending on VB because it feels like a full circle moment

I don’t think I’ve ever felt about any song on first listen the way I feel about Grandfather.

Her mind is insane, literally nobody could do what she did when she did what? THAT! oprah winfrey GIF

what the .. ****.

First time listening to any of the album and started from the beginning. It feels like she blended everything that has worked up to this point to create this.

Absolutely loving this. Feels like this is what it should be.

I feel the same way. For me the first four albums belong to the same family and are written from a very specific point of view with a persona in mind. After LFL she started a new chapter with NFR and I feel like this album is ending this cycle and the fact she chose Venice ***** as a closer feels very special and symbolic. I wonder where will she go from here...

me thinks because she felt unloved/unwanted throughout her life because of her abandonment issues and that she needed a man/husband/constitute a family to fill in that void so she never manage to feel at home but she’s finally at peace with herself and those around her and she’s finally filled that void so she’s home?

the second half of the album is incredible :jonny: the interludes definitely derail this album more than you would expect them to. i wish she left them off

Just like she sang in Blue Banisters... "every time it turns to may all my sisters fly to me" she finally found a family and a place where she belongs and she's loved.
