Aaron ended up dead, and not me

What the ****'s wrong in your head

To send me away

Never to come back

Exotic places and people

Don't take the place of being a child

The way a certain Guardian reviewer would have read this and said "ah yes, Lana back on her sad girl daddy stuff same album as last time!"

:gaycat6: (and honestly that consequence of sound review basically read like that... a disgrace)

This verse makes me cry every time I listen to it, surprised? :'(

When I was fifteen, naked

Next door neighbors did a drive-by

Pulled me up by my waist long hair to the beachside

I wanted to go out like you

Swim with the fishes that he caught on Rhode Island beaches

But sometimes it's just not your time

Listened to the album.

here are my thoughts:

-the melody in Paris, Texas is defo the most striking

-the best song is probably AW

-the Venice ***** part in Taco Truck slaps

-I like the trap influences in Fishtail

overall, the album is stronger than the past two but UV, NFR and some others are still stronger.

Excellent comment. NFR is my favorite album of hers, and I truly believe it is her best piece of work, but it is obvious part of the enormous acclaim was everything you just said. Although I'd add the fact that that record came at the very end of the decade was also what made it the "cultural zeitgeist" it is now.

Thanks! I forgot to mention that this fact is what I consider that triggered her Question for the culture when saying "can i go back to writing songs as a fragile woman etc".

She knew why NFR was so acclaimed and she kind of didnt like that reason.

I decided to listen to Kintsugi two days ago to make the wait easier (i also listened to Peppers on Saturday but that's it) and it didn't hit me at first, then the next day I fell asleep listening to it and now it has grown on me a lot... it's so beautiful.

I swear Lana finds her way during the REM phase and alters my subconscious all the time.

She did an instagram story just now and said "things coming with the album". I do think she meant the merch and pop up stores in california but a mv on friday wouldn't surprise me. She seems to enjoy making those (bb had 3)
