Why would she include AKA? I don't remember her ever claiming it as an official album. It's most definitely Paradise. Which also rings at nearly 40 minutes which is quite average for today standards in terms of studio albums :ahh:

Because Paradise is quite literally just an expanded version of BTD. Ocean Blvd. is also listed as her ninth album on Wikipedia, but that's because they count AKA, so that was why I assumed she was including it.

I just don't understand the correlation between the the tunnel under oncean boulevard and the rest of the song. Can anyone explain?

I understood it as her feeling like the tunnel herself: a beautiful, intricate thing that's overlooked and completely forgotten about.

Yeah, it all comes together at the end when she changes the lyric to “don’t forget me like the tunnel under Ocean blvd” :worship2:

Let Me Love You Like a Woman is shallow compared to Ocean Blvd.

I agree that it's her saddest song, this feels like a future lament — it's truly monumental and it will age as such.

I think this early Pitchfork review sums it up at the end

I disagree with their take, although I get where they’re coming from. I think it’s about her fame & the fact that not many famous people are ever fully in control of their life and/or make it out alive in the first place.

Well... I expected more of a slayage after the insider hype but I'm absolutely floored with the album covers :jonny2:

AKA is not a Lana Del Rey album I don’t understand how we’re still debating this in 2022 :gaycat6:

She was operating under a different stage name- Lizzy Grant and with a completely different label when that album dropped and two years later, she debuted, reinvented, as Lana Del Rey. If we’re gonna include AKA, then why not include Sirens by May Jailer, too?

Lana is obviously viewing Paradise as it’s own album and if you were sentient during the release of that “extended edition”, she spoke of it just like it’s it’s own project. Ride and Tropico themselves were separate from BTD completely and she wouldn’t have released a standalone version of Paradise separate from the “BTD: Paradise Edition”, if she didn’t in some sense view it as it’s own project.

No more.:coffee2:

Did she stop vaping? Her voice sounds glorious and rich :jonny5: Not just relying on the upper register like she mostly did on the last 2 albums

There are tunnels underneath California and most of the United States. Conspiracy theories say that’s were missing children are held. And that Lana’s previous album Chemtrails over the country club is about the Chemicals that the government mixes in Chemtrails to drug the population into having Mental illness. Is Lana exposing the elites New world Order?:hippo:

This is most probably true...

I love love more her first albums: BTD / Paradise, UV and LFL ❤️ (Honeymoon was a small dip) but then I can recognize some genius/peak moments in the newer albums that the first ones don’t have:

NFR! : Doin Time is perfect! FIILY and MAC are amazing too.

COCC: COCC and White Dress are cute

BB: Dealer and Arcadia are very good.

Now looking back I feel like she could have merged those last two albums and have a more solid one compared to having two projects with filler.

With OB I hope at least that she adds something new like NFR and LFL, hopefully the new producers and collabs add something, I would love for her to have a sound to what Adele did in 26/30.

It could be an innuendo about her ******. But most likely she’s asking her listeners not to forget her legacy like people forgot about the tunnel

DROP A TEAR

You clearly haven't matured past the age of 16 if you really think that commercial success is a merit of good music, stop embarrassing yourself further

Love Lana, but this song sounds like one I'll appreciate more in the context of the rest of the album maybe, as a standalone, I'm kinda whelmed. The cinematic feel of the song and the outro is beautiful, however. :gaycat4:
