Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'

It is kind of confusing to me that they would allow reviews to come out this early, I can’t remember that ever happening for a Lana album other than maybe one or two print only publications…especially if those reviews were basically going to not really do anything to stir up hype for the record :rip:

Unless they were expecting a much better immediate reception for it from those critics ?

If BB can get an 80, this definitely deserves at least an 81 (on par with Chemtrails) or more :deadbanana2:

I don’t see anything below 80 tbh

No chance for anything around 85. It will be between 72-80.

Well, get ready for the mixed reviews that will come, too.

What’s the average score so far if we add all of the current scores together?

I'll bet most of them prefer going into cleaner and safer (for her standards) albums like Chemtrails or NFR!, and will dock points for any messy moments.

I assume they expected a better reception, but in all honesty, they should have known that especially the UK publications will drag the overlong interludes

We don't know because they weigh differently.

if i had to guess it looks like she/her label sent the record early for reviews in hopes that a possible acclaim would grow the hype for the album.

Who cares when some of those publications will make retrospective reviews of this album in 2033 and give it its deserved 10/10s, saying it was misunderstood :giraffe:(I'm assuming the album deserves said 10/10s going by the impressions here, haven't listened myself)

Because different ppl wrote them. They also gave NFR! 3/5 and it became their album of the year
