album Lana Del Rey - 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd'

Oh ****, this album  This is a true return to form, NFR, BB and COCC were cute but this is on another level. The amount of various instrumentation, experimentation, the switches, the choruses, the melodies... I'm floored  I knew this album would be excellent based on three singles we got but it exceeded my expectations. My trinity is Kintsugi, Grandfather and Candy Necklace, I'm curious if this will change over time.

 

I will be deleting the interludes though... waste of time It's a perfect 14-track record.

Taco truck is such a flex on her own canon and mythology and in many ways of resignifying her own experiences and songs. The album as a whole feels this way too

Because Lana is so close to them and it would be awkward if their relationship with her was just fine

I always imagined Lana brings some old things traumatized her in the past then Chuck and Charlie goes in silence looking at each other saying “oh here it goes again”
