Is gothic the new psychedelic or surf rock?

Don't oversell girl . Otherwise, ppl may think it sounds like this

Having said that, it's a good song, but I need the HQ.

:lmao:

You're right. They're going to misinterpret the word. Dark/eerie/mysterious/depressive, etc. Feels like a very nighttime song, it's very 'black' in mood.

Best lq leak of the era, miles better than "Rosemary Exclusive Baby!!!!"

So is she making fun of the preaching in Judah Smith or? :rip: Way to ruin the middle of a perfect album.

Lana only does messy leaks. I mean who would have thought we would beat recordings from inside a Urban Outfitters or iPhone recordings of a CASSETTE as the messiest leak of her career?

I have been holding back from forming any opinions before hearing Candy Necklace and now that I've heard it the album as a whole makes a lot more sense to me, or at least the way it flows. At first I was wondering why A&W was the only song with such a dark sound but Candy Necklace has now brought the balance I was looking for. The album is very different from anything she's made before. A complex combination of emotions, sounds and subject matters but to me it doesn't feel messy at all. The album is divided into separate sections and that definitely helps. That way all these different vibes have their own spaces to grow freely and impact the listener without any distractions. Like imagine if Peppers was placed between Kintsugi and Finfertips. That would pull you right out of the experience.

I became a fan soon after L4L was released (although I despised that album) when I fell in love with Honeymoon but every single album she has released since has been a huge let down for me personally. You have no idea how good it feels to finally witness her release an album that I love as much as Honeymoon. Honestly didn't think that was ever gonna happen but here we are.

I’m so excited to hear this album based on the reviews and opinions :WAP:

I can't believe I'm listening to a damn recording of a vinyl fjdkdkdkd :deadbanana2:anyway, CN is great. Matches the vibe of AW and the interludes well

Candy Necklace truly was the missing key to make this entire album's order come together for me

I do think so, in a sense. I don't think it's completely earnest. She isn't that deprived of cynicism

I wish we didn’t know that Candy Necklace replaced a track bc now I want it. This screaming song and LYTAN are the only real known scraps from the last four albums (aside from whatever the demo of WCE was, and the unreleased songs from past eras / I Can Fly that we know were scrapped from BB) that we don’t currently have and it triggers my OCD so bad  :gaycat7:

So is she saying “umbrella” or “own brother”? :toofunny3:

So it's clear that with candy necklace, the album has three moments

The First - Dark in Mood one (even if sweet is indeed sweet) (The Grants - Batiste Interlude)

The Second - Singer-Songwriter (Kintsugi-Margaret)

The Third - Folk/Trap (Fishtail-Taco Truck)

Candy Necklace is the perfect bridge between A&W and the tracks after :jonny: why did she need those interludes

I don't hear HM in this at all, and thank god because it's her worst album

it's serving NFR/COCC :jonnycat:
