Not you thinking it's her managers' fault

i like the idea of let the light in being the "closer" and then the final four tracks are lana having fun. she's opened herself up entirely over the course of 11 tracks, and finally accepts that she has to grow on let the light in.

and then the last part of the album is lana letting loose and having a great time afterwards. she celebrates one of her best friends finding love again (margaret to lana is kind of you are in love to taylor), celebrates her friends and lovers on fishtail and peppers, and finally celebrates herself on the vb half of taco truck. she's accepted everything that makes her her and is ready to move on/begin again with whatever comes next.

very cocc in that sense because that album was all about the people in her life but from a completely different perspective

cc @HausOfGerard this is a really badly worded version of what i was trying to say about the tracklist being jarring earlier

Oh I totally understand where you're coming from and see that in the original album order for sure. It's just a personal preference for me that when I listen to an album, unless the entire record is similar in style (like Chemtrails or Honeymoon), I prefer to mix things up to keep it interesting. 8-12 are career highlights and all some of my favorites from LDR, but it's tough for me to listen to them in order. The order I made that works for me personally that mixes things up without going too out of the way from the original order's vision:

The Grants

Grandfather...

Let the Light In

Peppers

Judah Smith Interlude

Kintsugi

Fingertips

Did you know that there's a tunnel...?

Fishtail

Sweet

Jon Batiste Interlude

Margaret

Paris Texas

A&W

Taco Truck x VB
